Additional Information
Impeccable, but, I prefer French Laundry mainly because I felt like is was just copied over to New York. Now don't get me... wrong, it was amazing but I would have loved to visit Per Se in the winter and sat near that huge fireplace overlooking a snowcovered city. So how about this, go to French Laundry in the summer, visit Per Se in the Winter and live your best life! There is one two top that has a bench sit. Make sure you don't sit here. The bench is remarkably uncomfortable, although itdoes provide a great view of the dining room and city. you just have to sit upright the entire time when we want to relax themost. Read more
Per Se is an iconic New York restaurant by The French Laundry?s chef, Thomas Keller. It doesn?t disappoint: the appetizers,... cheeses and desserts from the tasting menu are some of the best food we?ve ever had in New York. I?d highlight the impeccableoysters with caviar, the tomato and heart of palm salad, the cheese pastry with truffles, the chocolate chai pudding, and thecappuccino ice cream. The view from the tables is gorgeous. Service is also top notch and delightfully friendly (feels likeyou?re not on Manhattan - chuckles). We just weren?t as impressed with the meat dishes - the crab pierogi was good, but notmouth-dropping; the chicken was the best of the three, but still not awe inspiring; and the lamb prime rib tasted blander andless tender than we hoped. I?m giving 4/5 stars only because, when you pay this high a price for a meal, my expectations arethat every step of it will be moving and memorable. This was the case with a good part of the menu, but far from all of it.Still worth the visit, in my opinion! Read more
Just an incredible dining experience. From the champagne to the custom cocktails and each beautifully plated and delicious... course, I loved every aspect of being at Per Se. The desserts were dreamy and the kitchen tour was also impressive Read more
Just an absolutely outstanding experience. Start to finish, this was the last of Keller's restaurants for us to dine in and I'm... glad we saved it for last. We honestly had so much fun... and even got a tour of the kitchen and met Chef Thomas Keller at theend of our meal. Get the wine pairings and sit back and relax. Service is exceptional, food is amazing and inventive. Picturesbarely do the night justice. Loved it. Read more

A truly phenomenal experience. The setting is luxurious yet understated. Yes, you have to enter the Columbus Circle mall but it... is tucked away in the 4th floor away from the noise and commotion of the city. Pretty much every table gets a view of CentralPark in one way or another. The food was fantastic but it is hard to describe how much better it was in the way that it waspresented. Simple dishes were turned intricate and quality food was turned exceptional. The service I found to be perfect.Timely, attentive, casual when appropriate, but formal enough that you still felt you were at a 3* restaurant. Overall I cannotsay enough to how great of an experience it was. I do not quite see how others have had bad experiences. Perhaps the staff washaving an off night for them, but I went on a Monday Halloween night and still felt that nothing was left out for me. My onlycomplaint was there is no music playing! I did not mind it though as the chatter and experience was enough to keep meengaged. For those that have never been to a Michelin restaurant: perhaps this is not your first stop. If you've been toAquavit, Gramercy, etc then this is your natural next step. It is hard to get a reservation, but that is for good reason. Iwould say it is French influenced, so do not get scared by the "French" description. Grab a table here and enjoy! A quick noteto add: I believe the website recommends/requests jackets. I would certainly follow that for men. The minimum dress I saw wassuit with no tie, but a tie is absolute fine. You can get away with nice slacks and a sport coat as well. I would recommendagainst short sleeves or not wearing a jacket. They will certainly take you but it is a bit out of place. Read more
