Reviews for Peak Restaurant & Bar in New York, NY
We went to the bar for drinks and desserts. I saw some amazing desserts coming out of the window on the way back from the... restroom and had to have the egg! Highly recommend! The bees knees was amazing and came with honey comb and baby's breathgarish, as well the daiquiri was also delicious. Their presentation, quality and attention to detail is as good as it gets andthe views are unbeatable. Our server was also very gracious, friendly and accommodating. Read more
For a quick answer: Absolutely wonderful! The view was great and the food was decent. To get into it more: Initial booking was... frustrating. No one was clear with answers, and the person we spoke to wasn't very kind. It in fact does come with access toEdge, although it took multiple times of asking to clarify this. Upon arrival we chose to sit at the lounge due to our earlyarrival. Lovely atmosphere, and average service. The staff in the restaurant were very kind and helpful. Our server seemed to bea little distracted by a VIP at another table, giving us a little less attention but overall it was okay. Our appetizers werewonderful but our entrees were average. Pricing was high but we understand you are paying more for the view than the meal. Read more
As a party of 15 it was a luxurious and fun dinner experience. Fantastic service, a wonderful private dining room, probably the... world?s best view, and delicious food and wine. The fresh warm bread was fluffy and out of this world. The scallop appetizer wasdelicious and cooked to perfection. The sweet potato main could have been better; one potato was grossly undercooked while theother was perfect. The entire party is still talking about the blue cheese filled beets and the potato in cheese sidedishes. The dessert was the highlight from a uniqueness perspective. The egg is a thin white chocolate egg with a light mousseinside with a zesty zingy yellow bit made so it looks like an egg yolk. The egg is served on a nest of crispy something or otherwhich makes a heavenly textural combination that?s hard to find and even harder to beat. Read more
Five stars for food, three stars for price. Forgot pictures of the entrees, but everything was amazing. The service is very... attentive and the plating of the dishes were clean. Some of the appetizers may come off as a gastronomic. Nonetheless, the tasteand flavors were there. The view you get from the peak is definitely included in the price of the menu items. A $20 cocktailhere can go for $12 on the ground in my opinion. That said, the dinner does include free admission to the Edge. If admission tothe Edge is ever discontinued, I would never come here again. But, this place is a strong potential fit for those looking toshow someone around who has a glorified the image of NYC. I think my overall experience here could have been better. Don't get me wrong the view of the city is really nice, but in my... honest opinion, the food was not that impressive and the service was mediocre. it took a long time for them to bring out ourdrinks and even longer to take our order. We got the burger which was great but the steak was just bad. I must have gotten a badcut because it was SO HARD to cut through. The other thing that was super weird was that, when we called for our check, ourwaitress brought over an "anniversary dessert" even though we hadn't requested anything. But her response to our confusion was"oh, I guess the previous couple must have ordered it- but here you guys can have it". Now thinking about it, I should haveknown it was weird because if the previous couple ordered the dessert, why would you still give it to us? And she also made itseem like the dessert was free since it was a mistake on her part, but of course it wasn't when we saw it posted on our bill. Ithink this place aesthetically is beautiful, but the service and food needs more work - especially with its given price point. The other thing i want to add was that we ended up waiting close to an hour for our reservation. We booked a lunch reservationfor 1:30pm, didn't get to sit down until 2:30 and didn't get food until 3pm. Read more
We had a lovely time at Peak on a Wednesday evening. The views were amazing, service was superb (Alfonso is the best server?... we?d come back just for him!), and the food/drink was great. It is a little pricey but you?re paying for the views, VIPtreatment, thoughtful ambience, and quality food. We started with the milk bread which was delightful, then we ordered the lamband lobster? also both delicious! Our cocktails were also superb. It?s an added bonus that you get free entry to the Edge tocheck out the views from outside too! Makes the whole dining experience absolutely worth it. Read more
Great experience. I can't just talk about the food as it definitely was an experience. The place was a bit hard to find for... visitors like us but we managed to get there after multiple escalator and elevator rides. They sat us in a semi private roomwhile being nice didn't allow us to watch the gorgeous sunset from the huge windows looking west. Every person that served uswas meticulous and excellent. The food itself was pleasing to look at, tasty to experience and satisfying after the meal wasdone. Hoping to come back for a sunset special at another point. Bonus point which we didn't know about was we got to visit theEdge as restaurant guests without having tickets. We didn't spend much time there, but it was nice to have the option ofchecking it out.
