We paid more than $200 for a steak that wasn’t ready and dry at some area , and tasted really not good. The deserts were... awful. Bottom line we paid more than $400 on that evening , and we liked only the French fries. Definitely not going back thereand don’t recommend . The service was amazing though and nice place to sit. I’ve been going to Carne for about 3 years now and it’s one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. It has a big beautiful open... dining room with quite a bit of space in between tables. Smallish servings so order a lot! We got the artichoke dish, the shaved cauliflower, the sweetbreads, the veal flatbread, the... spaghetti in meatball and the surprise steak and it was all delicious. My favorites were the sweetbreads, the cauliflower, andthe artichoke. The steak was also delicious. Not cheap but a great meal. I also got the fig margarita, which was great. Servicewas phenomenal. The dishes were excellent! The bolognese was super flavorful. The service was extraordinary and the staff very friendly and... polite, though I waited a bit too long for my table at the bar. The bartender was very sweet and helped us order some goodcocktails, so it ended up working out. It's a good place to have a business dinner or just to relax with some great pasta andwine.. would recommend. Read more
