My wife and I and our friend came here to try Russian food. What we got was the most unforgettable experience and wonderful... night! First off, the atmosphere is unique with a nice bar at one side facing a wall of books. Gives off a homey atmosphere.This leads up to a welcoming hostess, Marina. She was stupendous! She gave us several complimentary shots! We enjoyed the walnutshots, which was like a whiskey with a nice burning sensation. The food is both flavorful and presentation was alluring. We hadthe stuff cabbage, which is very big and tasty. And the grilled special, which is grilled lamb, chicken, meats, and veggies. Thearoma and flavor of that is to die for! Persons of Color: Taking a stroll after our anniversary dinner. The music made us stop by. We passed the place, but circled... because of music. Looked like a cute little spot for drinks. However, we walked in asking if we could order drinks and sit inthe outdoor space and enjoy the good sounds. We were distastefully looked up and down and then told by a woman in ordinaryclothing the place was booked.... there was no one in the place and only 4 people outside including the DJ. My best friend brought me here because she couldn't get past how beautiful it looked from outside, it turned out to be even more... beautiful on the inside! Marina was incredibly attentive and sweet. We had the honey cake, which was delicious and our favoritedrinks were the jalapeño shots. She even let us try some of her house made chocolates. I made a brunch reservation through email. Marina was very sweet and responsive throughout our exchanges. When we arrived... Saturday the staff was around but it seemed somewhat disorganized. Despite that my group and I had a wonderful time!! Theambiance and vibe were very unique!! We loved the decor. The food was delicious. I had the Kebab which was insanely tender andflavorful and the potato dumplings. Also very good!! I say give mishka a try. The other reviews did scare me a little but I’mglad we did come. I’m a bit surprised looking at the poor reviews for Mishka Soho. I was lucky to be at the restaurant on a fairly quiet night... when the servers were not busy. In fact the host (owner) was kind enough to pour us multiple rounds of complementary drinks. Thefood here was definitely top notch and they take a lot of pride in the authenticity of the food. I also had the luck of meetingthe chef briefly who was a very talented man. Overall, food, ambiance, and service everything was A++. PS: The service can beslow at times at the restaurant but I think it’s due to cutting back from Covid losses and thus the lack of staffs and serversat the restaurant. But if you come here with some time and really care about genuinely good food, you won’t be disappointed. Read more

Wow, what a an awesome place to get an authentic taste of Eastern European food with a unique twist, in a beautiful/romantic... ambience: food was absolutely delicious! They also had live music and then a DJ came on, all worked really well to create anentertaining and fun vibe. Highly recommend this venue for a private party, small intimate gatherings, or just to grab a bitein a fun atmosphere with European flare. Plov is out of this world!! I visited 3 places with similar food in Manhattan, this one has better food, even though it is more expensive. It has more real... rye bread. And the cream (smetana) is closer to how it should actually taste, though Belarusian cream would be better. Read more
