The black bean burger was burnt and pretty nasty. I do not recommend at all. The photos online made it look much nicer.

My friend invited me to have dinner with him after going to an exhibit at the FIT museum. We sat outside and enjoyed a delicious... meal at Merchants. American fare, the menu essentially featured elevated pub dishes. We ordered the cheesy truffle potatowedges (although I didn't taste any truffle flavor. Maybe it was in the bacon aioli? I don't eat pork so I requested a Srirachaaioli instead.), avocado fries and carne asada tacos. For dessert we ordered the sour cream apple walnut pie which comes fromthe Little Pie company. If you've never had this before, don't walk, run and try it. To wash everything down, we ordered twococktails: spiked lemonade and the southern bourbon peach tea. Although the spiked lemonade was good, I found the southernbourbon peach tea to be bitter. It was basically unsweetened peach iced tea with bourbon. I enjoy bourbon. I was walking around the city with my friend since the weather was so nice and we happened to walk into this restaurant. We... didn't order food because we ate already but decided to have a drink at the bar. My go to drink is amaretto sour and it wasPoppin. I ended up having two of them. I can't remember the nice bartender name right now but she wears glasses and has longbrown hair. She knows how to mix a drink and was very professional and knows her job. I would definitely come back here if I wasever in the neighborhood again. Read more
