This place has been here for many years and is always great. In addition to festive indoor dining, they have plenty of outdoor... dining tables. There is a wide variety of drinks that are strong. The food is terrific from simple to big platers. The salsa isusually mild. I never had anything here that was too spicy unless you add extra yourself. Read more
Maz has been one of the most consistent and important places in my life. Have been coming here since I was a small child and... for every graduation and special occasion for 30+ years. It is as consistently delicious, cozy and friendly as ever and I ampleased to recommend it unreservedly to anyone. Also worth mentioning that it delivers well for takeout. Read more
It?s a fun place and last night was my third time, twice for organized dinners with others. I like the cozy interiors and the... bright colors. Last night, I ordered the same dish I had ordered in the summer of 2021, when there was so much leftover that Ihad to get a doggie bag. The exact same dish yesterday barely filled the plate and wasn?t presented aesthetically either. WhileI realize that restaurants are struggling everywhere, I was left disappointed and wanting more. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY !! sorry excuse for a Mexican restaurant, the hostess was incredibly unbelievably rude and... unprofessional. None of the other staff addressed her behavior. My sister had a pork allergy and they served her pork! Theydidn?t give us a refund or attempt to redeem the situation. The food was overpriced and had no flavor. Things I liked: table chips and salsa come with multicolored chips and three dips ???????? Veggie burrito was packed to the brim... with real veggies (not just rice, cheese, and avo) AND came with a side of veggies Watermelon margarita was a little too easy todrink ???????????????? Things I didn?t like: like some of the other reviews, I felt very unwanted and very rushed. I came inabout 4pm. The outdoor seating on the front side was empty and inside, there appeared to be a back dining room area, as well asthe front dining room area. I asked the hostess for a place for just one and she asked how long I?d be because she needed hertables. I told her less than an hour and she said Okay and repeated she?d be needing her table. I told her I can sit anywhere,I?m not picky and not trying to be in the way. She sat me in the front dining room area by the only other occupied table. Myentire experience was very much rushed, including taking my plates before I was finished. When I left 35 mins later, 3 moreparties had been seated. The best Mexican food outside of Mazatlan. The Sangria was perfection. Great appetizers-nachos & guacamole. But the... complimentary chips and salsa verde is so good it should be bottled and sold. Dish one: We had arros con Pollo. The rice wasfluffy & flavorful. The chicken was generously distributed in the dish. Not this 1 or 2 strips & a big dry plate of rice. Nope,all the flavors melded together. Dish Two: Lamb Barbacoa tacos. Could have doubled this Dish. Every one at the table grabbed ataco but luckily the other two dishes were generously portioned so there were 3 starving people. Dish 3: Tanque Burritos. Thinlysliced pieces of pork, cooked in what must be the same flavourful green sauce and then wrapped in warm flour tortillas & coveredwith sauce & cheese. Lots of delicious cheese.
