I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 8 years and Maxwell’s is one of my favorite go-to spots any day of the week. The food is... good and the vibe is awesome and chill. It always has a nice mixed crowd and the staff are cool and attentive. They also seem tomix up the menu options with specials so there is always something new to try. They have plenty of outdoor seating with views ofCentral Park. If you’re in the mood to sit inside, you’ll appreciate the nice classic decor and bar. I highly recommend! Read more
My experience here was surprisingly good.. since I came here randomly when hanging out with friends. The outdoor seats were... nice, the server was nice, and the food as well. I had the Cajun shrimp and salmon salad. Interestingly, the shrimp supposed tobe the highlight, but I’ll say salmon almost took away the sit lol. Both good but salmon pieces were big which I loved somuch. The green was also well mixed with the sauce with a lot of cheese on the top. I tried their fries and sweet potato friestoo, they were good. My chicken soup was decent and what i needed on a chilly day. We ordered the lamb chops and they were scrumptious and tender. ... That plate would have been perfect with something green, maybe some broccoli. We needed to sit outside and unfortunately theheater didn't do much. By the time our meal was over my hands were quite cold as it was about 45 degrees out. The service wasgood but because of the price, i can't say I'd frequent this eatery. Read more
$136 for two frozen margaritas, two burger entrees, Wing app appetizer and cheese fries with gravy. We ate outside and the huge... plant kept attacking us but no one ever offered to move it. The service was okay, food was really good. I guess what you wouldexpect to pay in this neighborhood nowadays. When this place was Ottomanelli's I ate here all the time and never spent over 40bucks. As a bartender of over a decade myself, I am consistently impressed with this place. I’ve been coming steadily for a few... weeks because my boyfriend moved close by, and every time I’ve had a great experience. Every server and bartender I’ve methas been so wonderful, as was the owner who was around during my first visit. Have eaten half the menu at this point and haveyet to be disappointed. I could be stuffed like a thanksgiving turkey and still order the pretzel every time I’m here. Ifanything, it’s super repeatable and the house mustard and beer cheese are out of this world.
