Reviews for Mark's Off Madison in New York, NY
Absolutely love this place! The food is exceptional, and the service professional and friendly. There are so many menu options... to order I find it difficult to make a decision. Everything is excellent. The in house baked items are sublime. The Chef MarkStraussman is a very affable man who loves to meet and chat with his customers. It’s a lively place, but not too loud to haveconversations. This is my go to place to pregame events in NYC or have a leisurely brunch on the weekend. Read more
I loved the fact that they gave us bagels for our bread and butter! The Cheddar cheeseburger deville is sooooooooo good 10/10... highly recommend. They service was amazing I cannot wait to go back and try other entrees, I have my eye on the spaghetti. Read more
If I could give Marks more than 5 stars I would! First of all, the owners and management are always so welcoming and the food is... phenomenal. The Marks classic chopped chicken salad is probably one of my favorite salads in the city! I WISH I COULD BUY ABOTTLE IF THAT DRESSING! Other highlights… the fries, the lasagna, and amazing bread and butter basket. I don’t know whatthey do to make their bread so delicious but it’s insanely good! Read more
Came here for dinner recently, and I love the ambiance of the place. Perfect for date night, and the servers were extremely... attentive. They even split our entrees for us because it was the 2 of us sharing. Service gets an A+. The drink selection isHUGE (impressive wine list), and the cocktail i got was superb (Downtown Fred and Ginger). The food tastes fresh and clean. Myonly critiques would be to maybe add more salt or garlic in the food, it VERY slightly lacked in the seasoning (but that couldvery much well be a personal preference). I would also opt for adding an aioli to complement the grilled calamari. Overall arefreshing and well groomed new spot in Flatiron, hoping to come back again with friends and family. Read more
The braised rabbit is absolutely DELICIOUS!! I replaced the mashed potatoes with vegetables and it was just perfect. The... restaurant is lovely and the staff give wonderful service. We even got to meet Chef Mark himself, who was so gracious. I wouldcome back just for this rabbit alone! Read more
Place is ok for a quick drink and pizza. However when we entered the restaurant it was empty inside. There were only 2 guys... sitting outside. We felt unwelcome as the guy inside was rude. But later the servers outside were better. Unlikely to go thereagain. And definitely not with a client. Read more
Went for lunch where the menu is salads, sandwiches, pasta. Minutes after being seated we were served a basket of delicious... breads and cold pats of butter. For lunch, I had the chopped chicken salad. It's a large serving of shredded chicken, dicedpears, avocado, lettuce. Unfortunately, the salad was drenched in a creamy balsamic dressing. It would have been much betterwith about a third of the dressing. Another person at the table had the Jewish Boy From Queens sandwich. It was a blandcollection of turkey, coleslaw and Russian dressing piled on rye. The accompanying chips were good -- crispy andflavorful. Service was friendly and professional. Read more
Mark’s Off Madison is one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment you sit down and dive into that... in-house-made breadbasket you know everything on the menu is going to be good. The menu has an amazing selection of Italian andJewish comfort foods. It’s beyond good. Mark is so kind and an incredible chef. You can feel the love in the food you eat. They provide an amazing experience to the customers and I love bringing people here from out of town to experience it. Pro-tip:save room for dessert. The Boston cream is the best donut you’ll ever have and all of the other desserts are incredible. Thankyou, Mark! Read more
