Decided to eat here before going to theater. Right next to our hotel also. Was a small diner, clean and good service. A little... expensive for a diner but had a sandwich and ice cream. Both were good. Nothing spectacular but filled our bellies and we wereon our way. Read more
Please change the stuff, especially hostess and those who are talking to customers when they just come in. We had a wish to... leave as soon as possible, but our hotel was in 1 min walk and we had luggage. Would I turn back? Definitely no. I don?t wannastart my day from bad emotions. Was an average diner experience. The food was ok and the service could have been better. The French toast was delicious and... topped with slices of bananas as requested. The home fries/hash was ok nothing seasoned. The environment was a bit unkempt andmany high chairs blocking the bathroom hall way. The patrons were nice and no-one was rude. The service was lacking in terms ofattentiveness although the coffee server came around often. Wish he was our waiter he was very attentive. I believe overallthis was a nice place for a few items we had for breakfast. Service was ok ambiance/upkeep can be better. Not the same as Iremember it from many years ago. Read more
Tipical American dinner. Service was fast, food was ok, venue is exactly what one can expect. The pancakes were good, so was the... waffle. Bacon was correctly cooked but a bit thin for my preference. Prices were different on both menu we got, so I think theyshould review their card because we even paid the lowest price. When you want a Manhattan diner experience, this is the place. Yes, it is perfectly acceptable diner food to fill the tummy and... hang out around the table with friends or family. I had an omlette, hubby a veggie wrap. Service was courteous and fast on aSunday morning. But what I really liked was the interior design - Mid-century Modern. The art work on the walls and the tileswere worth closer examination. In all a fun Manhattan morning experience! 4 stars because, after all, this is not fine dining,but who cares? I had a dinner there the other night. A chicken cutlet with spaghetti. The meal could easily fill three people. Side salad it... came with was in its own a stand alone dinner. The plastic wrapping on everything and sneeze barriers somewhat diminish theatmosphere of otherwise very cozy diner. Individually wrapped buns and bread sticks make it feel like a cheaper establishmentand not worked with otherwise tasty menu. The next day breakfast was altogether different. I asked for two eggs and two stripsof bacon and white toast. Eggs came with the large amount of fried potatoes that tasted like three days old meal and toast waswholegrain I assume. So I carefully separated and ate the eggs and was happy it was over. Read more
