I used to like this place, I’ve celebrated so many birthdays of mine and of my family members here, but today was really the... worst. Today we came to Majorelle to celebrate Thanksgiving and were very disappointed and upset for the reasons below: 1. Theservers had weird attitudes and would behave in a strange way. 2. The servers pushed my chair about 10-15 times. 3. I orderedstripped black bass and it smelled terrible, I asked to take it away (my mom did the same). 4. I ordered a salad with bluecheese, pear and walnuts, but it was just not good, very plain. 5. I ordered the same dessert I used to order (the soufflé),but it was not good either. My mom’s dessert (the pecan pie) was soulless as well. 6. I also had lobster ravioli and it tastedas if it was right from a Whole Foods shelves. Cheap. Very disappointed. And all this “pleasure” for $1,500. Read more

This is the most exceptional dining experience my husband and I have ever had in NYC, and one of the best in our life (we've... lived here for 6 years and been to many of the top restaurants). When we visited for the first time, we knew it was where we hadto have our micro wedding dinner and reception. From the moment we first met Jekaterina (Kate), she was friendly, respectful, impeccable in her attention to detail and very responsive (almost instantaneous). A consummate professional, she ensured ourwedding dinner experience in The Club Room was exquisite and delightful in every day. What separated this place from the manyoutstanding 5-star NYC restaurants for us was that every staff member was personable, sincere and down-to-earth in addition toproviding exceptional service and unparalleled food. We felt truly welcomed and invited to stay and enjoy our time there. Thelamb chops melted in your mouth, the champagne was divine and and flowing and the chocolate dessert had outstanding depth offlavor. When our plans to do our first dances in Central Park changed the day of the wedding due to the weather, Majorelleseamlessly and graciously moved some furniture to make a space for us to dance. It made for an iconic and intimate moment, as ifwe were in someone's luxurious living room celebrating the start of our new lives together. My new French in-laws and myAmerican family could not have imagined a more stunning place to toast to our special day, and the photos from the eveningsimply take our breath away. On top of all this, the entire place bursts with the scent of fresh flowers, which are massive andrefreshed regularly throughout the hotel lobby and restaurant. It is nothing short of a dreamy floral timeless escape from thedaily life of NYC. Thank you to Jekaterina and the entire Majorelle staff for enhancing the magic and beauty of our big day. Wecan't wait to come back again and again. Read more

Absolutely beautiful interior, the food was amazing, it's a prix fix menu. Formal attire is highly recommended. The bar has an... extensive liquor selection, my only complaint is that when I ordered a pisco sour it was not made correctly with egg whites orwithout ice. Read more

With a limited eating menu and wide alcohol menu you shouldn't sleep on this fine French restaurant. The Fois Gras cuts like... butter, the chocolate mouse feels like a cloud and the sauces are sublime accents. The meat is always perfectly cooked to abeautiful medium rare (for the appropriate cuts). The desserts are complex, yet not too sweet. They also give you the choicebetween two or three courses. It would be a disservice to the restaurant and yourself not to choose the three courses. What a wonderful break from NYC, enter through The Lowell Hotel, and into a portal to lux restaurant somewhere in Paris. Please... come business casual at the minimum, but black tie evening wear would fit right in. The service here top notch, you can tell thestaff are life time servers dedicated to their craft. Everything is delicious and well executed, but the duck and soufflé is onmy must list! Something to note, like many upscale UES restaurants, the demographic of the diners are 99% not diverse. Mightmake some diners feel awkward ???? Read more

Fantastic ambience. Very elegant and sheik. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Prix fixe menu. Extensive wines menu and a fully... stocked bar. I had Glen Morangie and a special cocktail. We had a fantastic salad and oysters from PEI to start. Our main dishwas snapper with olives and a vegetable both an lobster risotto. The desert was peach Melba and berries in a grand marnier creamsauce. We finished with a coffee. Pricey but highly recommended. Read more
