Have called a couple of times to place an order, they have left me on hold for more than 10 mins, and the owner?s daughter ,... young female 5?8? long dark hair has a bad customer service and hangs up the phone. Very unprofessional people with no manners.Not recommended . Read more
Cheap and tasty. While the restaurant isn't trendy and doesn't have a vibe, everything we ate was good, from tacos to horchata.... Extensive menu. Helpful if you speak Spanish. Read more
Typically I?m not so harsh with ratings, this place however was Horrible. The moment my sister and I walked in, the music went... off (coincidence). We were not greeted not even with a smile, so I said hello to the waitress and she placed the menus down andsaid nothing with NO EYE contact. That was my Que to leave but we didn?t. We received Nachos with dip as appetizers with a strawwrapper/ trashed and found at the bottom of the appetizers. I informed the waitress and she apologized and brought a new one outfor us. We get our orders taken and brought at this time and not once checked on, the people were not welcoming at all unlessyou appeared to be the same ethnic background. Look if you want to try this place, give it a chance but my experience was adisaster. The food was not that good either, I really mean that. Superb. Some of the best nachos I've had in New York City. $13 with a bottled Victoria Lager and I am almost as happy as I've... ever been. The nachos start strong with a generous layer of hearty, freshly fried tortilla chips. And! They didn't get soggy!Not even with all the buttery black beans! Or the decadent, juicy carnitas! The cheesy top layer was a stringy combination ofOaxaca and mozzarella so it had a really sexy pull to it. I will also say that the nacho plate had a great ratio of chips tocreaminess to acid for freshness. However, I drowned mine in their house tomatillo salsa because it was good enough to bathein. Finally, it is responsible to advise that Lupita's won't likely be the most graceful dining experience. I loved walking into a full restaurant at 3 pm - a definite good sign - but the server was clearly overwhelmed. While the food came out fast andhot, everything else was a challenge.
