This place is a 100% must eat, if you're in the area and like seafood, we got the snow crab, the shrimp and potatoes in a bag,... added more shrimp and 2 serves of corn, with garlic butter and old bay seasoning. And it was delicious, actually perfect. Thearea out back is quaint and rustic, nothing fancy, but it keeps you out of the cold, and gives you a table to sit at. You don'tcome here for aesthetics, you come for the food. And that's where they excel. We are only here for 5 nights and 2 of these willbe spent at LoLo's. Read more

Let me start by saying I love LoLo's. The food is delicious and the service is usually impeccable. I visited earlier today. ... The shrimp gumbo was the "soup" of the day. One of the staff indicated it was very good. I ordered it. When the shrimp gumboarrived it was not as hot as it should have been and had already started to congeal. It was more like gravy than a soup. Theperson with whom I was dining agreed that it was quite thick. I am not a gumbo expert, but have eaten it on several occasions. Neither the color nor the consistency resembled any gumbo I've ever had. I nicely expressed my displeasure with the shrimpgumbo. I explained and showed the congealed shrimp gumbo to the staff person at the counter. He nicely insisted it was thecorrect consistency. He simply stated it was gumbo. I asked if I could exchange the gumbo for another item on the menu. Heinitially stated I could not, but then stated he could only give me a veggie item which costs less than the shrimp gumbo. Hedid not offer to refund the difference between the two items. I am a stickler for customer service. Although the gentleman atthe counter was quite polite when refusing my request to exchange the shrimp gumbo for another menu item, I believe reasonablerequests made by customers should be honored if you want them to return. Word of mouth is very important and you never knowwho's visiting your establishment. Not sure if I or the person with whom I was dining will return. Read more

The positives: clean bathroom, good customer service, nice outdoor sitting area, good location. All pluses in my book.... Negatives: food was not very flavorful and they give small portions. I ordered the plantains as a side and jerk ribs. I wasexpecting RIBS. I only received 3 pieces of ribs and a few plantains for $19.43!!! My cousin's meal was on point though. Heordered shrimp & grits with a johnny cake. He loved it! My cousin is a fan but I don't forsee going back. Read more

Enjoy this little seafood shack here in Harlem. The backyard remains open, plus COVID-19 sidewalk and shed seating. Had the... restaurant week special. I had 2 small spring rolls, crab cake with broccoli rice and beans, mango slushy. Amy had 4 jerk ribs, crayfish and shrimp boil, and Lolo's punch. Spring rolls were nothing special; ribs were great; crab cake was good; shellfishboil was tasty, the broth was excellent, a second piece of potato would have been nice someway to slurp the broth would havebeen messy (they do give you bibs) but with it.
