One of Daniel Boulud?s restaurant so you can?t go wrong with any items on the menu. We went on a weekday lunch and the place was... still packed. We love everything about it: the ambiance, the attentive servers, the food. It may be a bit hard to find theentrance (go between the two big potted plants). This restaurant is just up the stairs. A very business atmosphere, at least on the Tuesday evening we visited. We had chef tasting menu, which we were not impressed... but still okay with. The first three courses are a bit of over salty, mains (scallop, salmon, steak) were good, no fault at allwith a little uniqueness. The waiter system was a bit of less satisfying though? which makes me want to give 3.5 star? Woulddefinitely recommend for a business meeting, but not for romantic or relaxing occasions. Read more

One of the top dining experiences in NYC. Entrance to Le Pavillon is off to the side, right by the edge of the "courtyard".... Immediately walking up the stairs you are transported away from the midtown bustle, the dark stairs open up to envelope ofgreenery and 3 story high windows of the Manhattan skyline. Best way to go is order the prefixe, and add a few dishes to share,to get the most out of your experience, go with a small group. Every single dish is well executed (You can't go wrong yourchoice) and every server friendly and engaging. My favorite, however? The butter, it is out of thr world and can't be purchasedlocally- so get your fill when you're there. Read more

a very special meal that will hit every note of a michelin meal- from the beautiful setting to the great service and the... outstanding quality of every dish. you have the choice of doing a 3 course prefixe (where you choose your items for each course)or a 6 course tasting menu (no choice, but smaller portions)? i would suggest doing the 3 course prefixe and getting differentitems for each course than the other people at your table. the portions are generous, so there is plenty to share. the lobsteris an absolute MUST? and the lamb chops were incredible and perfectly cooked. the caviar spaghetti was very tasty, but not myfavorite compared to the other dishes we had. the pavlova for dessert was incredible, and we got a little pineapple dessert formy boyfriend?s birthday. overall, it was a great experience and I?m really glad we chose Le Pavilion for his birthday dinner. It features a very sophisticated environment, with lush gardens, olive trees and views to Grand Central and Chrysler... Building. They have price-fix menus for lunch and dinner. The two-course prix fixe starts at $78 (lunch). You can also enjoythe bar (they serve food bites). Definitely a great place for a special occasion - make sure to reserve a spot in advance! Read more

Such a great experience. The space and decor are absolutely gorgeous. We did the three course tasting menu and everything was... delicious. Definitely recommend the octopus. We ended up doing cocktails over wine. I?d recommend the mezcal drink. Service wasalso great. Highly recommend coming here. Read more

Chef Boulud has done it again! Excellent modern French fare in a beautiful, high ceiling space. Did the six course Grand... tasting menu, which included truffles and osetra caviar, and while pricey, the food was sublime. Seafood heavy French food, butwith modern flairs, and done to perfection! Excellent service too. Le Pavillon is well on its way to one, perhaps two, Michelinstars! Read more

When Daniel Boulud, a famous culinary star with well-earned Michelin Stars, opened up Le Pavillon, it became our to-eat list... immediately and we finally had a chance to visit there for dinner. The decor is brilliant and classy with luxurious furnitureand lively greens. The staff was super friendly and attentive with our diet restrictions. They serve three-course menu for $125per person and six-course tasting menu for $195. We both had the three-course menu. For starter, we recommended Mais, which wascreamy and rich. Both of our main courses were decent. However, there was room for improvement in our opinion, especially theBoeuf, which was grilled strip loin but kind of too chewy for us. What really impressed us that night was their dessert, whichwas amazingly delicate with beautiful plating & lots of surprise. We preferred Peche so much since it?s really refreshing andnot too sweet. We will definitely recommend people to give it a try for special occasions even though the food wasn?t the bestwe have ever had in NYC. However, all the elements including the environment & service were outstanding. Read more
