One of Daniel Boulud?s restaurant so you can?t go wrong with any items on the menu. We went on a weekday lunch and the place was... still packed. We love everything about it: the ambiance, the attentive servers, the food. It may be a bit hard to find theentrance (go between the two big potted plants). This restaurant is just up the stairs. A very business atmosphere, at least on the Tuesday evening we visited. We had chef tasting menu, which we were not impressed... but still okay with. The first three courses are a bit of over salty, mains (scallop, salmon, steak) were good, no fault at allwith a little uniqueness. The waiter system was a bit of less satisfying though? which makes me want to give 3.5 star? Woulddefinitely recommend for a business meeting, but not for romantic or relaxing occasions. Read more

One of the top dining experiences in NYC. Entrance to Le Pavillon is off to the side, right by the edge of the "courtyard".... Immediately walking up the stairs you are transported away from the midtown bustle, the dark stairs open up to envelope ofgreenery and 3 story high windows of the Manhattan skyline. Best way to go is order the prefixe, and add a few dishes to share,to get the most out of your experience, go with a small group. Every single dish is well executed (You can't go wrong yourchoice) and every server friendly and engaging. My favorite, however? The butter, it is out of thr world and can't be purchasedlocally- so get your fill when you're there. Read more

a very special meal that will hit every note of a michelin meal- from the beautiful setting to the great service and the... outstanding quality of every dish. you have the choice of doing a 3 course prefixe (where you choose your items for each course)or a 6 course tasting menu (no choice, but smaller portions)? i would suggest doing the 3 course prefixe and getting differentitems for each course than the other people at your table. the portions are generous, so there is plenty to share. the lobsteris an absolute MUST? and the lamb chops were incredible and perfectly cooked. the caviar spaghetti was very tasty, but not myfavorite compared to the other dishes we had. the pavlova for dessert was incredible, and we got a little pineapple dessert formy boyfriend?s birthday. overall, it was a great experience and I?m really glad we chose Le Pavilion for his birthday dinner. It features a very sophisticated environment, with lush gardens, olive trees and views to Grand Central and Chrysler... Building. They have price-fix menus for lunch and dinner. The two-course prix fixe starts at $78 (lunch). You can also enjoythe bar (they serve food bites). Definitely a great place for a special occasion - make sure to reserve a spot in advance! Read more
