Highly recommend this restaurant for take out or dine in!!! Beautiful indoor and outdoor setting. We were greeted and seated... right away. Mind you it was not busy. We had a table of 4. The service was good! No complaints. The food came quick and it wasdelicious!!! The iced teas and matcha iced lattes are a must have. Would love to go back to this location in the future. Read more
A great healthy French breakfast. Service is excellent. It is difficult to leave without getting some pastries or dessert to... take home for later. You can also pick up take out lunch to eat in Central Park. Coffee drinks are wonderful here. It in notserved in a mug, but in a round bowl. Kind of fun to drink out of. You can get it to go too. I ordered a turmeric latte and the Sunny Side Breakfast Bowl. The bowl was good, a bit too much kale on the outside of the bowl... that was completely dry. All the dressing was localized in the centre, and I had it with the eggs and quinoa before I got to therest of the dish. The bread, as you would hope, was very good. The turmeric latte is a mistake, it has no taste of turmeric orreally any spice. It was essentially a colored steamed milk. Service was fine, not too attentive after having ordered the meal,and was unsure if they would come to pick up the check or if I was supposed to go to the front to pay. Overall 3.2. Read more
I have been a loyal customer at Le Pain Quotiden for its amazing pastries so it pains me to write this review. The service was... absolutely appalling, worst I've experienced in America since moving here. I am the last person to claim racism but I am prettysure what we experienced was an example of one. My mother and I are both southeast Asian though of east Asian descent. We werehere at 12 PM on a Tuesday where the cafe was at maybe 20% capacity indoors. Upon being seated, it took the waitstaff almostfive minutes to give us the menu. Neither utensils nor water were offered. When the food came out, our utensils were still nothere. I asked the server for utensils, and 5 minutes later, they still have not been delivered to our table. I had to literallywalk over to the counter to get utensils by myself, but only then was I able to interact with a server who said utensils will bebrought to my table. By the time the utensils came our food was cold so I cannot comment on how nice the dishes would've been ifthey were still lukewarm or hot. Getting the check was a problem too. Even raising my hand for minutes on end, I was stillunable to get their attention. I finally got it when the manager (not dressed in uniform) was making her rounds. Right to us,the tables had the same server but drastically different service. Everyone else appeared to be of White ethnicity. After beingseated, they would immediately be given utensils and water. Just eye contact was sufficient for the servers to notice and cometo them. Despite my fervent love for their decadent pastries, I definitely would not be supporting this establishment again. Very nice service and awesome food. The hazelnut flute with butter and honey was to die for and the avocado toast was delicious... as well. We will definitely will come back during our stay in New York. Loved it!!! Read more
