Reviews for Le Pain Quotidien in New York, NY
Delicious breakfast. Smoked salmon tartinies are fantastic, dill sauce makes them a finished dish. Banana mini pancakes are so... tasty, not too sweet, not dry. Banana spread is incredible addition. Lots of berries. It's perfect place near Time Square forbreakfast or brunch. Not sure why it has so low rating on GMaps. Read more
Loved the atmosphere here (to me it was more like european atmosphere) very delish food, the toast was very big ????????
Order a cafe latte got a drip coffee! We asked if we could sit while drinking our coffee we were told only a certain area!... Seriously?!? Some man came in and only drank coffee and was given a table! We also had an almond croissant which was delicious! But the customer service was horrible! Seem like the girl at the counter woke up on the wrong side of the bed!! Put a smile onyour face girl!! Read more

I used to like this place but they are not consistent at all?. The employees are not properly train and they don?t even know... their own menu. I ordered 3 scramble eggs with salad and this is what I got today! I thought they are joking? Eggs without saltor pepper with one miserable leaf!!! The manager gave me the bag to go I was busy and I didn?t even check if everything wasalright. When I came back to my work I was really disappointed to the point that I wasted my lunch time and came back to thisplace for a refund! UNACCEPTABLE!!! Read more
Autumn is a pleasant place. I ordered from the brunch menu and did not regret it. The food was delicious and fresh, cooked in... 20-25 minutes. I would also like to note the very pleasant staff. We had one of the nicest waiters I have met. He helped todecide what to order, recommended a dessert, made delicious coffee. Big guy with black beard if you're reading this - you'vemade our day! I was walking by and a really nice looking lemon tart caught my eye, enough to where I actually went into the bakery to get a...
closer look.
I asked the nice lady at the front what her most popular item was.
She said to my surprise their croissants.
Sheclaimed they were "the best in the city"
That is quite the claim, and now here is my 2 cents.
Review begins here:
Location:corner of 38th & broadway.
(Good for tourists)
Appearance/Atmosphere:
Very nice. Modern design, clean cool gray.
Service: verynice. The nice lady in front offered me some sample of their new french pastries.
Food taste: I've tried croissants on par withthese "best in NYC" croissants. Either I have high standards or there are a lot of good bakeries I've tried in the world. (To befair i originally wanted to get the lemon tarts. I'm going back again to try them)
My scoring system. I try to define whatexcellent >>> terrible means. Too many reviewers either just give a 5 star or 4 stars.
Excellent: I'd fly across the world forthese
Very good: I'd come here repeatedly.
Good: a good bakery in my top 20 list.
