Enjoyed this place on a Saturday afternoon for book club! A relaxed, clean and open atmosphere, broad menu of baked goods,... coffee and brunch. Attentive and friendly service. Not all coffee shops in NYC are like this one, easy going and spacious,highly recommended! Read more
Giving it 3 stars because the food was good, but coffee was only ok, and it took soo long to dine in! Between us sitting down... and getting our coffee, three batches of people came and got their takeaway coffees ahead of us. I know because i tried to orderat the counter (twice), but was told no, that i should wait for my server, since I was dining in. It doesn't make sense to methat i have to wait longer to be served at the table (ie, get a worse service) and then be expected to pay a tip. And there wasalmost no people sitting down (maybe 10-15% occupancy), so it could have been much worse! Please change this system, let meorder my coffee at the counter and sit down with it, or hire more servers so people don't have to wait so long. Read more
Came here on a random weekday afternoon. Guy was quick to give my coffee and then ignored me the rest of the time i was standing... there instead of giving me the rest of the items in my order. When i approached another cashier, she was rude but quickly gaveme my brownie. I wasted a total of 20 minutes on my lunch break here. The entire thing should have taken less than 5 minutes.All they had to do was grab the brownie off the shelf and hand it over since it had already been paid for but they took care ofeveryone else?s orders except mine even though i was standing right in front of the cashier. Not sure if these people come towork drunk or on something that they ignore people who are right in front of them and then treat them rudely when the customeris only asking for something they paid for. Definitely not returning. Pretty good food but will find another location withbetter customer service. Read more
