This is a review for the bar area. My favorite Le Chalet was closed for a private event so my friend and I hanged out in the bar... area of L'Avenue. It is more casual than the dining room, with several high top tables, 4-5 nice cushy sofas (which were alloccupied) and around 10 seats at a bar counter. We were lucky to get a seat at the bar walking in on Sat evening. The bartendersteam us awesome and very knowledgeable. They recommended a couple of cocktails which were off the list because they ran out ofingredients for those on the list. The Straight Cut was a parsnip concoction based and very refreshing, my favorite was TomCruise with pandan among other ingredients, which gave it a nutty and at the same time herbaceous. Ask for these 2 when you arethere. Read more

This was my third time at L?Avenue and each time I go, I enjoy it more and more. We had a late lunch and liked the burrata and... salad. For dessert, we chose the Pavlova and it was excellent. Nice service although it was busy. I would definitely recommend. Read more

Fantastic views and a casual menu for this top of the store restaurant with an amazing entrance and ambiance. When in good... weather, ask to be seated in the terrace where you have the best views of Rockefeller center and the city. It also has a niceelegant bar for drinks that opens in the afternoon. Friendly service and a casual menu that is in pair with New York and thelocation. Good selection of wines on the high end price but worth it, can't go wrong. Food is excellent as expected and it isrecommended at anytime of the day, we had brunch and was fantastic, specially in the terrace. The inside restaurant is veryelegant but lacks the views you have from the terrace. So many places to visit in NY, this is one for sure. Read more

My friend invited me to try this restaurant. I like the decor and design since I walked it. Good lighting and beautiful decor in... every corner of the restaurant. Friendly hostess and great service. We enjoyed our our food and vibes. Food is good for me notexcellent. Drink is way too sweet which I couldn?t finish it. (77?blackout), my friend ordered same drink, and couldn?t finishedit either. No one came check if we enjoyed our drink or not. The service is good but it?s pretty rush us by trying to takeeverything out of the table without asking if we finished it yet. One of my friend were eating her food, but they were trying totake every side dish out which made my friend feel really bad and lose her appetite. Another one was eating her bread but theytook her plate then she told the guy she was still eating butter with her bread. It was not a big deal, but I believe it couldbe better. Read more

5 stars for their rigatoni & cocktails & pretty much everything else! Everyone from the security to the hostess to the servers... were so friendly. The ambiance is incredible, feels really elegant and cosy at the same time, like you?re in a close friend?sfancy living room. Also weird note - but the bathrooms are stunning. Food wise, I had the rigatoni so I can personally attestthat it is incredible. I came with a large party and someone else at the table tried it and switched their dish lol (so guessingthe bolognese she ordered wasn?t as good, but it was off menu so it doesn?t count lol). Others had the filet mignon, spicy thaibeef and chicken and they all said it was amazing. I don?t remember being super impressed with the burrata but would definitelyreturn in a heartbeat for that rigatoni again! And definitely to try other things on the menu - and of course for the gorgeousambiance. Read more

I was invited to dine at L`Avenue, which is a French restaurant located at Saks Fifth Avenue. This is a great dinner spot for... those wanting a nice evening out, whether it?s with friends or a date. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is a mood. It?swarm, dark and intimate. I loved everything from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out. And for those that love totake photos, get your cameras and phones ready because there is a photo opportunity at every corner. Remember to also godownstairs for the bar area! L`Avenue is exactly what you would expect from a French restaurant, fancy and upscale, yet worthy.I ordered the following: ? avocado tuna ? chicken spring rolls ? spicy thai beef ? tom yam chili sea bass ? famous cheesecake ?Saks Smores (SOOO GOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!) The portions are great for sharing and it?s a dinner to be enjoyed, and not rushed. Thisis a place to splurge but I promise it?ll be one of your favorite dining experiences! And I honestly can?t wait to go back again???? Read more

Walked in to have drinks and were quickly greeted by 2 very rude hostesses. We were informed that we could only stay till... 3:30. Completely understandable since they were having a private party. However? It?s not what you say, it is how you sayit. We were then seated in the middle of the bar area when clearly there were other cozier seating areas available. We wereoffered a drink menu which only offered champagne and wines. Many other drinks available. We are at locals who come in toManhattan often. We had never been into this bar and thought to give it a try since we were right across looking at thetree. Very disappointing! Read more
