Their insta-worthy spready caught my eye and I love that I'm able to try different spreads/dips when normally I'd be limited to... 1-3 options. Their menu is pretty simple if you do their pre fixe of just spreads ($35), spreads + 1 skewer ($55), and spreads+ 2 skewers ($65). You can either order as a la carte or everyone in your party has to order the pre fixe. The spread optionincludes an entire assortment of spreads in tiny dishes that are refillable throughout your entire dinner and the freshly bakedbreads (laffa) is amazing. When we were running low on a spread or bread, it was quickly replaced. I would definitely come backfor just the spreads alone. However, we weren't the biggest fans of the skewers. For an additional $20 or $30 extra, wecouldn't justify the price. I'm a big fan of grilled octopus but this place did not hit the spot with its very salty and fishyaftertaste, the salmon was a bit over cooked, and saving grace was chicken which was nicely seasoned and cooked to tenderperfection. Otherwise, service was great, our server was friendly and explained the menu well. One other side note, therestaurant isn't a stand alone place and if you want to go to the restroom, you have to head up to the second floor. Read more
We just got home from a beautiful dinner at Lamalo. I loved everything about it. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting and the... servers and waiters were so nice. We chose the Lamalo spread, which is all the spreads with bread, plus two skewers and twosides. Let me tell you, the bread is out of this world. The spread options are fantastic. We chose lamb and chicken skewers withfreekeh and red beans. All wonderful. To be quite honest, If I just had the bread and the spreads it would be plenty. Brilliant food and drinks. Spread if you?re hungry and can deal with the calories. Otherwise I recommend just getting a skewer... and side. But all the food is great. Read more

No worth it! I was looking forward to the restaurant based on all the positive reviews, but it was the biggest... disappointment. First, service was lack of mediocre- especially our server. Not being able to answer questions about the menu toforgetting to bring my wine... then bringing totally the wrong one and not comprehending which wine I'm requesting from themenu. Never came to check up on us during the meal. Glad there were other servers walking and check in on randomtables. Portion nor quality of the food does not validates the price. The Bread/Spread set at $35/pp is definitely not worth it. Just go for the spreads a la carte. The skewers are a joke! 3 dinky pieces of meat at $18... side would cost you extra. Next! Read more
We went to LamaLo for Thanksgiving dinner this year and IT ???? WAS ???? AMAZING ???? We bought tickets for dinner online... before we went and basically just sat down and ate! We were 30 minutes early for our reservation and were prepared to wait butthey just sat us anyway and the whole staff was so sweet. The food was AMAZING! Literally the best turkey and mashed potatoes Ihave EVER had, and all these amazing dips and sides that were traditional American Thanksgiving with a Middle Eastern flair. My first time trying middle eastern food and the chefs at Lamalo did not disappoint. I loved every single spreads and the naan... was to die for. For meat, we tried the octopus, salmon and beef. They were all well seasoned. Customer service was amazing aswell. The servers delivered kindness support. I will definitely go back there whenever I go back to NY. Read more
