Reviews for Lalibela Ethiopian Restaurant in New York, NY
A jewel of a place in Harlem. The food was Ah-mazing! Authentic Ethiopian cuisine served in a quaint setting just two blocks... away from Morningside Park. Excellent lunch or dinner spot. I would not be surprised to see this chef on a cooking show in thefuture. Must eat. #nyc #goodeats #foodies Read more
Authentic Ethiopian cuisine with an extremely friendly and helpful staff. The ambiance is stark and open which gives the... restaurant a clean and light atmosphere. The vegetable sambusa was served with a hot green sauce that was super spicy anddelicious. My family shares the vegetable combo which is plenty of food for 2 adults and 2 kids with a variety of flavors. Highly recommended spot that I will definitely go back to. There is a full bar and outdoor seating as well. Read more
Nice Ethiopian. My first time having this cuisine in NYC! The decor is clean and minimal, but it works. This evening their was... only one lady in the front managing all the tables. Being a Monday night not very busy. She was friendly and helpful explainingthe menu and making recommendations. We ordered 2 appetisers and 3 mains between three of us. The portions are quite big and welanded up eating a lot as the food was delicious!! Would highly recommend this place? and will surely plan to visit again! Read more

My first time eating Ethiopian. Portions were small but since I had no idea how my stomach would respond, I didn't want to push... it. Food was good, a little on the spicy side. Great service. We went on a Saturday afternoon, so only one other group in therestaurant. It didn't make me a fan of Ethiopian but I wouldn't mind going again if someone really wanted that cuisine. Read more
