The food was delicious, plentiful and inexpensive. Pasta made fresh andsauces were perfectly prepared. The tiramisu was the best I've ever had! We WILL return!! David was an amazing server. He was prompt and always made our glasses were full. Service was perfectly timed. I didn't feel... like I waited too long for food nor did I feel rushed to eat and get out. Exactly what you expect from a traditional Italianrestaurant. Portions were large and family style. From the stuff to the food this place is amazing! We got there without a reservation on a Saturday evening and were seated... outside within probably 15-20 minutes. Customer service is great, everybody is so polite with a smile on their faces. The foodwas delicious. We got calamari as an appetizer, they came super quick and there were a lot for three people! The portions werehumongous too! Couldn’t finish everything there, so had to take the leftovers home which I don’t mind at all. Our serverpacked everything for us. Amazing experience! Read more
First went to La Mela in 2018. Was so outstanding, every time I visited NYC I’d have to visit again. Now that I live here... nothing has changed. Probably the best penne alla vodka I’ve ever had. It’s amazing and the service is so perfect. Mywaiter, the big bear guy is so funny and engaging without being on top of you.
