Humble, down-to-earth and unassuming eatery with some typical and traditional Korean dishes. Both kimchi jigae and bibimbap were... delicious. The scotch egg was innovative and filling too. Especially with the current inflation, the price they charged for thequality food is unbeatable. By the way, those quotes on the wall really cracked me out! Read more

Food was pretty good and service was great. The Korean scotch egg was interesting but needed some sauce. Thankfully we ordered... the ddukboki and that sauce worked very well for it. Their LA galbi tasted amazing but there wasn?t much of it. Their spicycold noodles were amazing and I highly recommend. The arrowroot noodles were extremely bouncy and chewy, and the cold, icedbroth was delicious. One star off because they aren?t doing the Combo Special listed on their website (1 Korean bbq + coldnoodles). Read more

I forgot to take a photo of the cold noodle dish (neng myun) because I devoured it in seconds.. I don?t usually write reviews... but will need to for this spot! The food here reminded me of Korea - very authentic, tastes amazing. The kimbab was the bestI?ve had and the cold noodle (neng myun) is what it?s known for - hands down THE best. Definitely coming back! Read more

Came on a Saturday night at 8pm. It was crowded but we had a reservation so we were seated without a wait. I?d definitely... recommend a reservation, but they seemed to accept walk in groups with a small wait. Delicious food, slow service. Absolutelyloved my experience here, but we spent about half an hour after our meal was over trying to get the servers attention for thebill. We weren?t in a rush and had a good time talking, so it wasn?t a major issue, but something to note. The food was sodelicious, and will happily come again. For appetizers, we ordered a Crispy Rice Egg, Corn Corny Corn, and Hot Wings. Highlyrecommend the Crispy Rice Egg, but the other apps were good as well. For dinner, we ordered fried rice, DolSot, GalBiTang, andSpicy Pork Bulgogi. The bulgogi was amazing, but the GalBiTang was very one note, basically bone broth with noodles. Stilltasted good but disappointing as a main course. Another strange note, has nothing to do with the food. The ceilings are quitelow so if you?re tall you?ll have to duck. The restrooms are on a lower level, and there are a few stairs to get into therestaurant. It is not wheelchair accessible. We sat inside so I?m not sure what the accessibility of the outdoor dining is like. Read more

Kook was overall a fine experience - the food was good, the service was a bit slow, and the environment is comfortable. For the... price in NYC, I think it was a relatively good deal. Nothing blew us away, but nothing was bad either! The soy garlic friedchicken was probably the best part of the meal. Read more
