We came here last night for my husbands birthday celebration. This place is top and I would definitely want to come back when we... visit New York City again. My husband loved the lamb - mutton chop. The place is beautiful inside, full of history and it hasthe biggest pipes collection. The staff is super professional and nice. We did not have reservations but they were able toaccommodate us. I recommend that you make a reservation before you get here because this place is super busy. People were comingin all the time. If you like a big delicious peace of steak this is the place to go. Keens has an amazing atmosphere, and you can feel it as soon as you walk in. Dark, wooden decors, moody lighting, pipes on the... ceiling and pictures highlighting its history on the wall all come together and create a special place. Their food matches upto its venue and history. We had a taste of mutton, T-bone steak, creamed spinach and mash. The meat was so delicious andtender. The mutton was seasoned perfectly, and I liked the cabbage that came with it. The T-bone was so tender, and somehow nottoo heavy which allows you to eat more of it. Mash was perfect, and creamed spinach was flavourful and preserved enough spinachtexture without losing it to cream. For dessert, we had a key lime pie, and it was so light, zesty, and not too sweet which madeit so pleasant to eat. I would highly recommend getting it as a dessert, even if you are full! I would definitely come back, tryother cuts of meat and eat that delicious key lime pie again! Read more

Probably one of the best restaurants I have been to. The ambience is perfect for a cozy indoor dining experience. Ordered the... mutton chop appetizer, T-bone steak, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, NYC cheesecake and carrot cake. All the food was heavenlyand portions were very generous for the price. The beef and cheesecake were phenomenal. Highly recommend checking this placeout! Read more

This place is really great! We have been to some of the best ranked steakhouses in the world literally and the steak here was... quite insane. It was also comically large. I got the prime rib king’s cut and it is pretty much impossible to finish. Forstarters, we had the oysters Rockefeller, delicious! The fish was fantastic and the sides of sautéed mushrooms and hash brownswere also pretty great. The staff is awesome and super friendly. All in all a great experience. Read more

Excellent mutton chop which is good for 2 to share. The lobster bisque is also excellent. This restaurant has 127 years history... where they kept the pipes for 90,000 customers. Many famous people came here including Albert Einstein, President TheodoreRoosevelt. The lady at the counter called Vonnie kindly brought s around the second floor to explain us the different rooms andthe stories behind. It was fascinating !! Read more

Far and away the best meal we had in NYC. Great presentation and service in a charming, atmospheric restaurant. The huge plate... if crudites, fantastic blue cheese dip and breads were a tasty and unexpectedly generous start to our meal. Certainly it wasvery expensive overall but none of the party objected as it was just so good. That said, some items on the menu are extremelyreasonable by NYC standards. Well worth it and an excellent experience. Read more

Awesome dinner. Staff wearing masks and they check for vaccination card before being seated. It's a 4.5 stars. Our server did a... great job. I had the double mutton chop which is delicious very delicious, served with swiss chard. We also the fried calamarisalad very delicious with a little bit of spice, just right although the calamari was slightly over cooked. The prime NY sirloinwas perfectly cooked, juicy, and tender. The interior is unique with the clay pipes on the ceiling dating back to 1885. Theatmosphere brings you back in time. Dark but light enough. Great dessert menu and after dinner drink selection. Overall I woulddo it again and try their porterhouse steak for two or three, it looks awesome, you can get it sliced or not, same with themutton chop, I had mine sliced. Read more
