Iconic and wonderful. Amazing, just amazing, just don't lose the ticket. Great portions (close to half a pound of pastrami per... serving), great service (friendly staff offer free pastrami samples), large number of options to choose from (includingdesserts), ample seating, restroom and option for self or table service, bit pricey ($25.00) but definitely worth it. It is ahigh sodium meal - drink lots of water. Ensure that you don't lose the ticket which they give you as you enter as losing itentails a $50 fine per lost ticket. They write what you got on the ticket. We got the, pastrami and (phenomenal). The pastramisandwich is likely one of the best things I have ever eaten. It was juicy, melt in your mouth with great flavor throughout. Thepickles and cucumber they give on the side also help cut the richness and refresh your palate to enjoy it more. The rye breadwas also amazing. Enjoy it with sauerkraut or coleslaw! Yum. Def not for vegetarians!! Read more

Do not be intimidated because of the queue, it moves pretty fast. Pastrami sandwich was wonderful. The meat was very tender and... had a good balance of saltiness. It is big but if you are hungry, you will be able to finish whole one by yourself. Pickledcucumber and french fries were also very good. The fries feel and taste much less greasy than what they look. The ambianceinside is an experience on itself. I hope to be able to come again even on this short visit to the city. Update: life hack: ifyou can't decide what to choose or if you come as a big group but also want to save some money. The three meat platter costsonly $40 dollars but you get lots of meat, lots of pickles, and lots of bread. Can easily feed 3 people, probably even more. Andit is delicious! Read more

As a tourist it was a must see and it lived up to expectations. It can take a little but to get served, but I timed it right and... was able to walk right in. The ordering process is a little different at first but the team are helpful and very patient withtourists and in hindsight it does make sense and there are clear signs up. The pastrami sandwich was amazing, some of the bestof any meat I've had, a lovely smoky flavour and so juicy and tender. Souvenirs were very reasonably priced as well. Forget anyother reason to cone here - do it for the fantastic food! Read more

As a first timer to NYC, this is one of the must go places in my list. Katz's Deli has been around for over 100 years, serving... the same delicious Jewish delis. I ordered half a portion of the famous pastrami sandwich on rye and a bowl of Matzo ball and itwas actually good enough to share among 2 people just to have a taste of it (I'm from Asia where I'm used to smaller foodportions). The pastrami was very good! Tender and flavourful, and you get to have a taste of it when the cutter is preparingyour order, it's part of the experience. The matzo ball was pretty good too, love the clear soup and the soft texture of thematzo ball. Great to warm up my stomach in the morning. Read more

Not the easiest place to find with Google search. Asked the subway worker and he directed straight there. I?ve seen this place... on food network several times and had to try it. It was extremely busy when we walked in. I guess there was a line but sinceno one was paying attention the guy said come in. It was a little overwhelming so many people were there and I had no idea whatto do. I guess you have the option of ordering at the counter and if you want a table in the front you just wait and find one. I suggest having someone save your seat and the other ordering if you want to go that route. If you want to be waited on youwalk to the back and there is a hostess there where you stand in line and they will help seat you and you can have a waiter. The wait took maybe 20-30 min not to bad, but the place was crowded and the one for the employees is right by the line so theyneed room to go back and forth. When we were seated the waiter gives you a ticket and that?s what you use to pay with. Weordered the Pastrami, Corned Beef and Bagel, Lox && Cream Cheese with NY cheesecake! It was delicious. Some say it maybeoverrated for the price and I can see a little of that but the sandwiches are big and the place is super cute! Make sure afteryou pay you hold on to your receipt because you?ll need it to get out the doors. I?ll definitely visit this place again. Read more

Wasn?t sure about coming here but it really was worth it. I travel a lot for work and hate feeling like a tourist but they were... great. You get a ticket, you line up for a cutting station, sit down and eat and then pay with the ticket after. I had thepastrami on rye and the meat was truly the most succulent and delicious I?ve had. The rye was soft, the mustard flavourful andperfectly-balanced, it came with a plate of pickles and cucumbers. The cutter let me try some brisket just to compare - alsofantastic. But the pastrami is the one to go for. It wasn?t dry at all and I would have the same again. Read more

I'm trying to be very honest in that review. We came at around 3:30PM, the Line was very long, we've waited around 30... minutes. We took 2 kinds of sandwiches, the pastrami, which the meat itself was amazing, and the corned beef which was very dryto my taste. The sandwiches themselves are also pretty dry, don't get me wrong, they put *tons* of meat inside, but what does itworth without vegetables and more that a light spread of mustard.. and the bread just isn't good enough for me. It was nice tosee such a place, but I can't see myself eating there again. Read more
