All I can say is that although Portugal is considered the home of the Portuguese tart, I hope this is not the best... representative of it in New York. It is an extremely mediocre tart, and somewhat small, while also charging $4 per piece. Thetraditional flavor does somewhat resume a creme brulee as it is advertised, but it is a stunningly mediocre one. Not to say thatit is bad, but it is an insult to my wallet when there are better pastries all around the city. I would honestly considergetting a Portuguese Egg Tart in nearby Chinatown next time for 1/2 the price while it also delivers a similar product. Read more

Amazing Portuguese egg tarts! You can also buy a pack of six frozen to take home and bake them at a later time. They increased... the price to $4 per egg tart ($20 for a 6-pack) but it’s worth it! The dining area / location is not the best but the foodserved is top-notch! Read more

Nice cafe, delicious tarts, and wonderful variety show/comedy show on Saturday nights! I enjoyed the comics and the medley of... singers, performances, and the hosts as well! Free shot with the purchase of an alcoholic beverage. Read more

If you find yourself in the neighbourhood, for example on your way to the Tenement museum and feel like getting some coffee and... croissant before this is a good place to stop. Only during good weather conditions however as the place has no indoor dining.Tables could be a little cleaner, other than that coffee was good and the chocolate croissants really good. I can recommend. Read more

Had their Portuguese egg tart and it was next level. The outside was the perfect amount of flake but the custard on the inside... was one of the best custards I’ve ever had in my life. Highly recommend to anyone remotely close to the LES. Read more

A friend recommended me this place for their Portuguese egg tarts and I was not disappointed. I went right when they opened on... Sunday at 11am and had to wait a few minutes but they were fresh out of the oven and AMAZING. A nice crunchy flaky outer layerand creamy sweet warm goodness inside. Read more

Came here for their Portuguese tart and it didn’t disappoint! Very flaky crust, tasty custard with a thin layer of burnt... cinnamon on top! Personally, I don’t like too sweet of a dessert but this stay within my limit bar! More importantly, itserved warm!! Read more
