The food was great and the wine list matched perfectly. A cozy place, with a very nice staff, and a family-oriented feel. Highly... recommend. Read more

So disappointed. Third time here. First visit was great, second visit mediocre and unfortunately third visit dispelled any... optimism that this is a place to go back to. Really slow service, horribly vinegary antipasto starter and very nondescript maincourses. The only positive is that the wine was cold and it's a pleasant place to sit. Its a shame to have negative things tosay so I only hope that other have a better experience. Read more

To anyone who values the aesthetics an authentic New York City restaurant before corporate management firms took over the scene,... try this lovely little Italian place on the UES. Not only is the food delicious, but the ambience will carry you back to a timewhere individual restaurateurs put their own unique stamp on their space. Read more

A small italian but cozy restaurant where the food and the service are excellent. They told us the chef is the owner and you can... notice. The Saffron sauce ravioli and the veal were incredible, the ricotta cheesecake wonderful. A most in NY. Read more

Been craving Italian sm so here I am! I had the mushroom ravioli special with wild mushrooms and asparagus (+ a blue drink and a... mojito) and the Pappardelle alla Boscaiola and it was so, so good! The latter is a sweet dish with an amazingly delicious flatnoodle. I usually don’t like sweet stuff but this was good! The former had the absolute best sauce; I took back my breadcrusts to soak it up. And thank you to both waiters I had! You are so kind and accommodating and I appreciate you! Read more

So we dropped our daughter off at the airport and decided to go into the city for dinner. We stopped by one of our go-to... restaurants but it was packed so we decided to look for something new. This is when we came across Italianissimo. It's a smallgem on the Upper East Side. I had one of the specials. Stuffed Chicken with Mozzarella and Prosciutto di Parma covered in aRed Wine Marsala sauce with Porcini mushrooms. The food was excellent. I really don't care for mushrooms but I could have eatena whole plate of just the mushrooms. Also the staff was excellent. We are now making this one of our go-to restaurants. Read more

Fantastic place! It's not your generic Italian but instead a great assortment of dishes in that category. Service is top... notch, lovely decor, and fair prices. Very much worth a visit! The dessert cookies were a nice touch too :) Read more
