At the beginning of first arriving, the wait staff was not very pleasant, found out later that it was near the end of her shift.... But the rest of the time, the wait staff was very good! The food was creative, liked the fish and chips alot! There were manydipping sauces in the sampler! All of the NY team games were televised. Very clean and overall a great time! We were there forthe drinks, mainly, as we had our Cheers for Fall passport which allows us to enjoy a bar place that we wouldn't have thought togo to! Read more
Ordered for pickup. Food was extremely cold, small portions for a $22 sandwich and $15 appetizers, and if you order a canned... soda it will be served hot. Probably won?t return for the price tag. Read more
Low quality food. Worse than pub food. Drinks are diluted. If you want a place filled with drunks then go here. The dregs of UES... frequent this hole in the wall dive. I wouldn?t spend a dime here. Read more
Excellent buffalo wings and I mean some of the best I've ever had. Bone in and boneless (house made) recommended. The sauce was... delicious with great buttermilk fried crisp. Slider sampler was also excellent although sliders are small. I had the Burr, theHook style and the Hale. The bartender, Emma, was a professional. glad to have finally visited this spot -- great neighborhood pub with a surprisingly extensive menu and great service. didn't... try any of the actual food but if the cast iron brownie dessert is a barometer for the rest of the menu, i cannot WAIT to comeback and try everything else! Read more
We stopped for an after-work beer, It is the first time we entered Horn's Hook Tavern. We also ordered Burgers. We were... pleasantly surprised, the Burgers were excellent, made exacty as we requested, the sauces and toppings did not spoil theenjoyment of the meat and the fries were oeefect. Takes ?bar food? to new heights. Good selection of beers. I tried one that was called maple something. I wasn?t expecting to... like it but it had just a hint of maple and was quite delicious. I had a little roasted pumpkin filled with butternut squashrisotto that was delicious and vegetarian. Read more
