Average to good tasting food, large portions, average NYC prices. Had the potato pancakes, chicken schnitzel, and sausage... platter for one. Of those, the potato pancakes had the most flavour, worth ordering for sure. Chicken schnitzel had goodtexture too. I liked the taste of one of the sausages, was ok with another, and thought the last one was too bland. Overall adecent spot! Read more

Roasted pig knuckle, duck, and veal schnitzel dishes. This restaurant is one of the last remnants of Germantown, Manhattan's... Upper East Side from a hundred years ago. The food and atmosphere is spot on German. Read more

Oh my god! Definitely try their pork shank and sausages! So juicy, tasty, and flavorful. The meat was just soft with crunchy... skin! I love their radish, too! Best companion with the meat which helps you to keep your mouth fresh. Read more

Pretzel and potato pancakes were very good, sausage platter was ok, and pork shank was decent. Their blanket no strollers rule... is stupid though, even small ones folded and when the restaurant is maybe 20% occupied. Read more

This place is the best way to visit Germany without needing to renew your passport. As soon as you step in you will feel the... atmosphere and design of Deutschland. Many draft and bottle beers together with a classic menu is all you need. While not thebest place for vegetarians, you can still find some great options. You can even order a beer boot, but beware! You have to makesure you learn how to drink from those before you start your festivities. Prost! Read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants to dine in at in the upper east side. It’s so unpretentious. The vibe is cozy and feels... like a German pub. The place is busy but doesn’t feel packed. I didn’t expect o be wowed since I was like how good canpotato’s, cabbage, and schnitzel be? But man is it good. The food is outstanding - they make the best chicken schnitzel I’veever had. The German beers are also delicious and come out quickly. Read more
