We have visited HS many times during the last decade. Since last year they had rebuilt the restaurant. The food is great the... service should be much improved. The booking system is not working at all. We ended up close to the inner kitchen entrance andtoilets even after booking many days ahead a window table as we usually do. All staff ran like headless chickens, and I reallymean ran, in and out and all passed our table. I have never experienced this typ of disturbing way of customer approach. Tried ordering in and it was horrible. Got the sushi and the fish tasted stale. I live nearby and really wanted to like this... place so I tried again several months later. This time I dined inside. Again food was horrible. Sushi tasted stale, ramen aswell. Feels like they served us prepackaged and microwaveable meals and gas station sushi. Do yourself a favor and eatsomewhere else. Read more
Outdoor seating on 20th Street is pleasant. The sushi is decent and reasonably priced, but service is slow and needs... improvement. One person in our party had to wait too long for his dinner while the rest of us had already been served. Lookslike they need more wait staff. Overall, it's a nice neighborhood place worth a visit. Great service, relaxed atmosphere. Came here spontaneously and enjoyed the lunch combo. The food is well priced and tastes good.
Amazing spot for fresh sashimi!!! The sushi chefs are awesome to watch! Service is phenomenal especially with Susanne and... Coco...they're great and always on top of things! I always have their junmai daiginjo sake and Sapporo beer to drink. The Toro(Tuna belly) and Uni (Sea urchin) as appetizers are awesome! Then I have the chirashi bowl...a nice selection of sashimi! And Ialso got a to-go of their Hamachi Kama (grilled Hamachi collar) with sushi rice. Soooo delicious. Excellent sushi spot...A+++! Read more
First time I went there I got sick from it. Fast forward several years and they got a beautiful renovation from a crusty old... place to trendy modern looking restaurant so I tried it again. To bad they didn’t renovate the kitchen or chefs. Hostesswasn’t friendly/didn’t speak. Service wasn’t great, beer was warm. Sushi was very rubbery and frankly tasted bad allaround. I’ve lived right next to this place for 8 years with very few restaurants around to chose from and I will never begoing back. Bad time, bad food, bad experience. Read more
The sushi is good and the ramen is okay but they seated us quickly after asking for vaccine cards and checked up on us... frequently. It's a great place to eat. It didn't look like they have outside dining right now and they have a bar. Come with $25 Read more
