Great food. Authentic chicken biryani. The place has no ambiance and has a weird smell, so I recommend doing take out
Amazing, flavorful food with large portions at very good prices. Reminded me of Ramadan food you get in the streets of India.... The server and staff are friendly but don't care too much about mixing the curries/dishes a bit, specifically I saw a chickenleg in the dal (lentil) curry. We got the meat platter ($12) and our favorites were the lamb seekh kebab and beef masalacurry. If you want tasty food, you won't regret going here but if you are specific about how each item should be, then it won'tmeet your expectations. Read more
Too many desi dishes to choose from, they tasted ok, the place was too crowded.
A great place to quickly try a bunch of South Asian dishes, as they prepare the items in bulk, and serve by plate. Items include... Indian, Bangladeshi, and Pakistani favorite dishes. The taste is pretty legit, the do not compromise on spice or masala. Allitems smell and taste just like if they were made at home. The restaurant itself looks very old, messy, and unhygienic.Restroom is not up-to the standard. The uninspiring look and feel of the restaurant diminishes it?s quality of product somewhat. Read more
The food is good (deserve five star for it but giving four star rating overall). However, the inside of the resturent can be... improved in terms of decoration, service, and cleanliness. The resturent is in the city so finding parking sometimes can bedifficult. Overall, food is really good but atmosphere can be improved. Read more
This place is SO DAMN GOOD. I never review restaurants, but this one impressed me. I think this is legitimately one of the best... deals on delicious food you can get in NYC. For $10 you can get a platter that comes with Naan, Rice, a meat and a veggie side.I would recommend the chicken karahi with lentil side. The flavors are rich, but not imposing. The only thing I would wish wasdifferent is if they used chicken with more meat. Most of the bites were bone at cartilage. Otherwise, 100% I would recommendto check this spot out if you are in NYC and are looking for a large portion of tasty food for a fair price, something that israre to find in the city. Read more
Haandi is Pakistani-style curry eatery. ASuper no-frills, gritty and worn-in exterior with some kinda cramped seating options ... (exact opposite of fancy) but still reminiscent of old NYC. Haandi is frequented by a lot of drivers and delivery people whobreak to eat so it?s very much a working people?s spot. stopped in to grab some vegetarian takeout and was happy with what igot?lentils, rice, and more carbs aka naan. every was packed up neatly and the food hit the spot on a meatless day for me as myorder was pretty simple. there?s definite a lot of chaotic energy as the place seems very busy juggling dine-in and takeoutorders. staff is friendly enough. prices are wallet-friendly Read more
