Reviews for Grand Sichuan Eastern in New York, NY
Not good. Seriously. Ordered General Tso's Chicken - the sauce was thicker then molasses, the chicken was tough, they decided... not to include even one piece of broccoli. So it is a gelatinous mess. If they can not cook this correctly, they should notinclude this in their menu. The spring rolls and the spare ribs are not only tasteless but past their due date. Shamefulquality. Read more
Really friendly, quick, and great local Szechuan spot. While not on Szechuan row, this place makes several dishes really well... and even makes it extra mala for me when I ask. I order here usually at least once, sometimes twice a week. I reallylike: -ChongQing Spicy Chicken -Parched Chicken with Three Pepper -Gui Zhou spicy Chicken -Spicy Whole Green Pepper I am lessof a fan of their cucumber salad and their mapo tofu, but plenty of other dishes to keep me happy. If you like spice, Irecommend you skip the American Chinese Food and try something off the special dishes menu, which is primarily Sichuan stylefood. Read more
Unassuming. Fantastic. Went with my best friend and ordered way too much food but we couldn’t help ourselves! Spicy,... flavorful, layered. Loved the Mapo Tofu, Sautéed Pea Shoots, and a delicious crispy chicken dish I don’t remember the nameof—I’ll be back with more friends! Read more
We got general tso’s chicken, Spicy chicken and Chinese broccoli, noodle soup, and dumplings. The food was very good. It was... made to order, came out very hot, tasting very fresh. There was no wait and the staff was friendly. Read more
Brilliant service and cuisine on Christmas Day 2021. We ordered the orange beef and Sautéed Pea Shoots with hot green tea of... course. Everything was delightful and I was very happy to stop and enjoy their restaurant. Definitely will head back soon. Read more
I just ordered their version of "La zi ji" the fried chicken pieces with spicy chilies and I kid you not, half of it was just... the dried chilies and peanuts (which you can see, I fished out). It wasn't even spicy at all and I love spicy. Had I known theyput peanuts in it, I wouldn't have gotten it. Was better off ordering it in Queens where my friend orders his. Absolutedisappointment. The pork soup dumplings here are delicious and my favorite dish to order. But many dishes here are good. Fried rice is pretty... good, lo mein is pretty good (though not my favorite). Really loved the Gui Zhou spicy chicken. Beef with green peppers is verytasty. The king pao chicken was also good. The soup dumplings are smaller and not as good when you deliver, but that's anecessity because the real ones wouldn't stay in tact on the trip. They're still good delivered but I highly recommend dining into have them. Read more
Unassuming from exterior we questioned entering. But the foooood, though, wow, so so great! Authentic and affordable! I would... have given it a 5 stars if it wasn’t for a bit of crumbs and flakes on the table when we got there. But overall, would 100%recommend! Read more
