We had a very nice lunch on a sunny fall day at Freehold in the Park. The vibe was great and we were in the pavillion. The pizza... was delicious and the drinks were excellent, particularly my old fashioneds. Service was also prompt and our meal was servedtimely. Great place for lunch. Read more

I can't rate the food here because I just had drinks. The service is good. The bartender was very nice. What I liked most was... the atmosphere. I happen to see this place when I was walking in Union Square Park. The space is beautiful. It's like beingin a dream when you walk into this place right in the middle of a park. I think that this place is seasonal. I hope to visitit again next year. The restaurant pavilion will open again in Spring of 2023. Read more

I had a very pleasant experience here and it was nice that all the cocktails were the same prices. The bartenders were great and... frequently checked on us. They even recommended others bars to try and those didn’t disappoint. Read more

I usually don’t leave reviews, but the service here was so awful in many ways that I am compelled to. For awareness—we had a... 6:30pm reservation, and left by 8:30pm, and they technically close at 11pm. -our server didn’t know answers to our questionsabout ingredients on certain items that specifically stated to ask the server for the ingredients of the day, and she seemedannoyed every time we asked -they got 1/2 of our order wrong, and made us feel bad about pointing it out and asking for thecorrect order -we had to ask 2-3 times for refills on water and condiments -they turned on the lights at many points during thedinner, seemingly to passive aggressively signal that they were closing early (no one told us this directly but I think becausethey didn’t have much patronage—unsurprisingly given our experience—they probably made the decision to do so withoutgiving us notice. We would have happily obliged if anyone shared that with us. At one point we even asked the server what timethey were closing because we were confused) -they turned up the lights and the bartender shouted at us to leave as soon as wepaid, though we were clearly still finishing our drinks (and again, we hadn’t overstayed our welcome, we were there 2 hoursmax—slightly less by the time they sat us) -security came up to us 1 minute after the bartender yelled at us, to let us knowthey’re closing, to which I responded that we were finishing our drinks and needed 2 minutes and we would be gone before theywere done cleaning—which most of the staff clearly still was. The security guard got argumentative with us verbally andhovered after I asked if they could let us finish our drinks in peace. I suggested that next time the sever not allow thepurchase of a last round if they didn’t have time for guests to drink the drinks, to which he said it’s not their problemand we had to go regardless of the status of our unfinished drinks. -as we left I noted to our main server that while she wasvery kind Read more

This is a lovely spot to visit for drinks. It is not as upscale as it looked from the outside, and food was quite slow, but five... stars for great wait staff and a free round of drinks to make up for our wait. Read more

The space is cool and convenient right in Union Square however the service is very slow and the drinks are overly sweet. One... other thing, don’t try to book a private event here. Very shady practices on the financial side of things. My company was setto book our summer party here for a minimum spend of $4,000. The day that the private event person sent us the quote Freeholdhad conveniently TRIPLED its price for the event and tried to charge us $12,000. They claimed it was a coincidence, that newpricing had just magically gone into effect the day we were about to sign, but obviously it’s a bait and switch. Read more

Nice patio restaurant in Union Square. Service was great. On of our items took a little too long to get to us so they took it... off our bill -as all restaurants should do. It was also my wife’s birthday. In stead of bringing her a completely piece ofcake - they brought us shots- awesome! Read more

So hungry Ididn’t get photos when everything first hit the table! Pizzas were nice and crispy & super flavorful! Salads were fresh andtasty (they use baby kale! So tender!) Read more
