This is the worst pizza I?ve ever had. It?s serious lol laughable. Unlike other pizzas, the cheese is on top of all the other... toppings and makes it watery underneath with very wet uncooked crust. It has the added benefit of forming a glue ball whichchokes you when you try to swallow it. Yummy. LOL Read more

This is my favourite NYC pizza place! I loved the fact that I was walking into a time long forgotten by time. I swear the decor... hasn?t changed in the last 30 years. Having travelled from afar I wanted a NYC pizza slice that was true to it?s name. I gotthe plain, a vegetarian option along with a fetta pizza. They were all delicious, not too salty and hot. The pizza came out onpaper plates and it felt like a real family place. What I loved most was that this pizza place was local and for locals. I willreturn here on my next NYC visit and wish I had a bigger appetite to eat more! Read more

Thin crust and solid pizza. Plenty of interesting toppings even Mole. Mozzarella sticks only ok

Recommended by our fine hotel guy at the Beacon. Tiny below street shop with two barely utilitarian tables, useful only to scarf... slices. Slices and pies provide another twist on nyc pizza and, i believe, worth a try, especially if you are on the uws. not sothin crust with an appealing curious crunch. not like a cracker. more like a great grilled cheese sdwch. toppings were tasty.noodles, meatballs and especially sauce also worth a try. dont take your first date or expect more than efficient service. take out!! Really, really bad. Like?65 dollars for the collective worst pizza, pasta, and salad in New York I?ve had, bad. Went here for... slices frequently pre-pandemic, and something changed. The pizza was chewy to the point of feeling difficult to eat and itscheese was coagulated. The mixed-green salad was basically a tin of lettuces from a supermarket. And the pasta was so poorlyprepared that one bite was enough to never want another. I called back to try and tip toe around addressing these problems (asbest I can remember, this is the first time I?ve done that to a restaurant) and was offered a $10 credit in response. Lol nah,I?m good. There are dozens more pizza places on the UWS, many charging less than $65 dollars (!) for a meal. I?ll be going toliterally any other from now on. Read more

My favorite neighborhood pizza joint. Been ordering pies and dropping by for a slice for the past 10 years, always friendly,... delicious, fresh, and efficient. I strongly recommend their margherita (with fresh mozzarella and garlic and beautiful basil) --we always order this delivered and it hits the perfect spot. Crust has that perfect NY chewy texture. Yes the pizza here is delicious and it's very fast and friendly service too. But what makes Freddie & Peppers special is the... Chilean touch! Authentic, DELICIOUS Chilean empanadas. These ain't the fried dough with meat that most every other empanadaspot sells. Chilean empanadas are baked. They are filled with grilled beef and onion and touch of raisin, stuffed with a hardboiled egg and amazingly tasty every single time. They also sell other Chilean foods, but the empanadas are what consistentlybeing me back to the upper west side staple. Enjoy Read more
