Excellent food and great customer service. Our waiter was very attentive and answered any questions that my daughter had about... the food or the menu. Plenty of good food to choose from the menu. Initially and inviting Irish country pub. Long bar, and cozy side room with tables. Mostly traditional dishes and fare. Prior to... a Rangers game, our order wasn't relayed to the kitchen. An 45 min wait. Then, food, which was okay, had no napkins or utincils.Was charged for 6 beers, when had 4. Nobody really checked on our table or needs. Overall very disappointing on a service level.Food and drink quality was fine. Bar deserves another chance, but improvements must occur. Didn't seem like an "off day". Asclose to Madison Square Garden, they should seek a better performance. Read more
4.5* if it were possible to give but rounded up to 5* because it's better than a 4*. This rating is for a casual Irish pub and... based on comparisons to other pubs foods, drinks and decor. With a clean and what seemed new interior, this bar is a darkatmosphere which sets a nice mood. Dark wood walls, chairs and tables all in good shape. Prices are fair to good for Manhattan.Location is convenient to Penn Station and local subways. Wine pours seem to become more generous as you run your tab up. Draftbeer is cold and the lines must be cleaned regularly as all drafts tasted spot on. Service is excellent. Wait staff is attentiveas well as the manager also who seems to actually help out unlike many other managers I've seen in other places. Bathrooms wereon the cleaner side. The men's room is oddly situated as urinals are perpendicular to the entrance with no walls. It's almostimpossible to not see d*k, which for some may be more of a reason to use the facilities. The restroom has an air dryer for handsonly, which personally I hate and would prefer to leave with wet hands. I cannot speak for the women's room. The menu is a goodsize of both draft beers, cans/bottles and wines. As we didn't order liquor, I'd imagine they had the common brands. The menuconsists of mainly starters, sandwiches and burgers/pizza with not many choices. From what we had, the quesadillas were prettygood, the wings were excellent and the blue cheese burger was potentially good, but the chef missed the mark on the cook, as itwas ordered medium and came out past well done. Which is unfortunately the only photo I took of the night/food. If it was cookedbetter, I think pairing it with a side of wing sauce would be a nice touch. Fries were average in flavor, a good sized portionserved with not enough ketchup. This establishment also has outdoor dining, but we did not partake. Read more
Came here for dinner a few days before Christmas and absolutely loved it. The interior decor of the pub was decorated for... Christmas so beautifully, it made our time spent there extremely pleasant and was very welcoming. The food was delicious andcame out in a timely manner. We ordered beers, the jumbo pretzel and the empanadas for appetizers and burgers for our entrees.Loved the ambiance of the pub (everything we expected it to be as we LOVE pubs) and our waitress was friendly and very helpful.If you're near Penn Station and need a place to go eat, come here! 100 times yes. Shiny bar tops and all wood accents show the care given to this bar. Super friendly staff serve up some of the best sandwiches... and fries I've had living in Manhattan. I've ordered delivery from here before, but am happy to see that the location matchesthe food in quality. Will be back, with friends. Read more
We went in here for lunch and to watch an English Premier League game. The gentleman looking after us put on the game we wanted... to watch and looked after our meal orders. The food was very nice and the pub was a great place to watch the game or anysporting event with all the screens throughout the pub. We had a great experience here and will definitely be back if we are inthe area again. Read more
