Hosted a private birthday party for my partner last minute (under a week), and Evelyn's Kitchen went above and beyond to help... come up with a menu, accommodate my budget, all within less than a week's time, and was flexible to adjust for a fluctuating #of guests all throughout the week! They helped come set up and lay out the food, were timely and punctual and communicative, andall my guests loved the food and kept asking where we got catering! Would highly recommend for anyone throwing an event, largeor small! Read more

Ordered Grilled Lemon Chicken dinner. Chicken was too dry, like it was made the day before. No utensils were served.

Ordered on Grubhub. Packaging kept the food hot. First time I?ve gotten food like that. Flavorful. Big portion. If this is the... norm - you have a new customer. Read more

The treats and food are relatively good but very expensive. But the owner is rude & does not treat all the staff members... kindly. Added In Response to Reply: Ayla, don't feel apologetic about the severance of our business relationship, as I was theone who made the choice to step away. Your reply alone is evidence of your defensiveness. My review was honest, respectful, &most importantly was from my perspective as a costumer. I have known other employees of yours say that you aren't not alwayskind and respectful. It is not for you post about my personal job/work experience on this public forum as a means to distort thenarrative like I'm a some disgruntled ex-employee. I'm simply attempting to uplift deserving businesses in my community. I wishyou the best in your future. Read more

I work in live events and first had food from Evelyn?s Kitchen at a gig I was on at MSG. I remember the food being very high... quality for craft services. Fast forward years later and I was walking up 1st Ave b/t 118th & 119th. I see Evelyn?s Kitchen andstop in to check out the ?to go? menu for dinner. I got the jerk shrimp, baked mac n cheese, hot sauce and honey brussel sproutsand a toffee blondie. I love Jamaican cuisine and their jerk seasoning was full of righteous flavor and well balanced spicedheat. The baked mac was really good with a creamy smooth cheese sauce that had a tasty cheddar sharpness. The hot sauce andhoney brussel sprouts were a perfect match of what tasted like cayenne spice followed up with a light sweetness from the honey.Last but not least was the toffee blondie dessert. The blondie?s flavor of toasted sugar and butter are decadently tasty. Theslightly crispy exterior leads to a soft interior that is dessert comfort food at it?s best. I am thankful for Evelyns?s Kitchenserving up delicious, high quality meals in East Harlem. Read more

Please head over to this adorable place - currently they are undergoing renovation because they experienced a fire however,... there desserts are still and perhaps even more dangerously delicious. Do not take my advice go by and try the brownies or thepudgies and you will thank me! This I know for sure. Trust me, do it! Read more
