Service-Excellent Ambiance-Beautiful in the main area, underwhelming in the bar area Food-Good, but not “mind blowing, top 50... in the world” good. Value-Not really. One doesn’t shell out for a tasting menu here in search of value, but I can’t helpbut compare it to other tasting menus. We had 3 in one weekend, and this came out on the bottom in more than one category. I’dgive it 3.5 stars if I could, but I couldn’t bring myself to give it 4. Read more

We found this restaurant from a list of best restaurants in NY. The first thing that struck us was their polished precision... service. My wife who recently completed a cooking academy program kept raving about the food's craftsmanship. We were bothdeeply impressed. When we reached the dessert course we finally realized it's a vegan restaurant. It's our most memorable stardining experience ever. Read more

The best restaurant in the world deserves my most accurate and thoughtful review. Came here as a group of 4, including one food... critic. Ubiquitously, we found this dining experience one of the best in the world to our knowledge, plant-based or notcombined!! I'm very confident about giving this place a 5-star rating! 1- Food: Food was absolutely delicious and healthy, andI discovered new tastes that I had never experienced in my life. The true meaning of the art of culinary! The combination oftastes and the origin of the raw materials were truly magical!! 2- Vibe: The environment is fantastic, pretty calm andrelaxing! Also a lot of art work around. The music was very nice and I give the environment 10/10. 3- Pricing: for being thebest restaurant in the world? Worth it! 4- Cleanness: REALLY neat and clean. Germophobe approved!! 10/10!!! From the table tofloor and bathroom, everything was very neat and clean! I visited the kitchen and I was shocked how clean and organized itwas! 5- Staff: super nice and friendly, and very polite and respectful! 6- Food diversity: the food was amazing with a ton ofdifferent courses. Each course had its own personality!! 100% recommend for vegans and non-vegans! Many people there weren'tvegan and everyone was having an amazing time. This restaurant has my highest recommendation! I had heard great things and decided to book reservations to celebrate my husband and my birthdays. I wish I had read more of... the honest reviews posted here...if the bread rolls and take home museli become the standouts of your dinner something has goneterribly wrong. For this price point, I had high expectations for both flavour and presentation. Like another reviewermentioned, the overwhelming taste of salt masks any other delicate flavors presented. Not worth the price, the time, anddisappointing experience. 2 stars only given to the serving staff and the freshly baked bread rolls. Read more

Impressive texture to each dish but flavor was too salty and overall experience lacked depth, which is sad for the price. I had... heard people rave about this place before it went vegan and loved the owner’s rationale for changing it. Individually, eachdish in the winter menu (went 3/29) was delicately prepared with impressive technique and tasteful, unique ingredients. The winepairings were excellent. The bread texture was incredible (though flavor was salty), the turnip and white potato dish was theone big relief until dessert. The two small desserts were fantastic and the bright flavors were more than welcome. Together as ameal however, the salt accumulation was overpowering and decreasingly enjoyable. By the end, my tongue was nearly raw from allthe salt and our tastebuds were pretty bored of mushrooms (and we love mushrooms). One dessert would have been nice as a palettecleanser mid-meal (though I’d rather have more ingredient variety and less salt overall as well). For the price, I wasdisappointed as we were really looking forward to it and it’s rare to be able splurge on an experience like this. Overall, appreciate what the chef is doing here but would not recommend the winter menu. Read more

Chef Daniel Humm is a culinary genius! A journey through food, conversation and senses. Loved the summer menu (not pictured) but... the winter menu was a completely different experience. Highly recommend going every 6 months. Great sustainability and missiondriven brand story that is sure to inspire. Cheers! Read more

Worth the money? Definitely not. Was it good? Yes. I’d say for the ambience and the food it’s probably worth about... $150. The cauliflower and bread dish was by far my favorite. Good but not great : onion butter, fried mushroom Not great:turnips Read more

Definitely overrated. My boyfriend and I were visiting NYC last week and since we're passionate about food (we both worked in... kitchen for a long time), we booked a dinner at Eleven. We got there with the highest expectations, given the 3 Michelin stars, the 2017's nomination as best restaurant in the world and (last but not least) the price. I'll start with the service, which wasinattentive (we've been served by I don't even remember how many waiters, almost one for every different dish, so we didn't havea continuity), and sometimes even rude, exception made for an Asian waitress and the kitchen staff, who've been very nice tous. Regarding the kitchen, we found most of the dishes mediocre. The Pita and the King oyster mushrooms fried were greasy andheavy, two of the worst fried food I ate in my entire life. Some dishes were way over salted (the brown rice, for instance). The onion butter, just didn't make sense to us. The only two dishes we really appreciated were the pre-dessert and thedessert. In conclusion, I would not recommend this place, unless you have 800$ to burn. I have been to several one star Europeanrestaurants that are far above Eleven. Read more
