Amazing place with a good vibe. The food is always on point and the atmosphere is always vibrant. The senegalese food is to die... for. The breakfast is also pretty amazing with the croissants and the other pastries. The coffee was on spot and boy did weenjoy it. I highly recommend that they bring some Cafe Touba that would add a lot of value to the business. Read more

Des Ambassades serves a combination of regular American and authentic Senegalese cuisine. The portions are large, able to... satisfy big appetites. In the 2 times I was there they didn't take credit cards so prepare to use a debit card or pay usingcash. Read more

I love this restaurant and all it has to offer. Fresh and irresistible but I wouldn?t push for the restaurant, why? Because the... women waitresses are horrendous. I walked in with my toddler in a stroller and my husband went looking for parking never once Iwas looked at or given the basic service of a menu and water. I had to walk up to ask for. I?ve never been so turned off. I wastold most of the food they don?t have. Seriously! The men the Real workers are smooth as Silk. Never will I bow to their doorsif I see it?s a woman serving. That?s ONLY for the restaurant portion the bakery has the sweetest workers. My apologies to theowner find a better group of people these ladies are miserable. I wanted to show family and friends of this Great Find. I wasalways happy with this restaurant this time I might not ever return. That?s Sad. Read more

Okay so let me start with the most important part, there was pieces of hard broken plastic in the Comoros Curry which is... completely unacceptable and obviously very dangerous! The Curry claimed to have potatoes in it but had none of. Although quiteflavorful, tender and a good portion. The rice was very bland and flavorless but also a good portion and the fried Plantainsshould be more ripe as it almost had barely much flavor. Also i had bit of a stomach ache after so it seems the food is not sofresh.Overall not the kind of service i would reorder for Read more

Update: I like that they renovated the place. It is brighter and more spacious, but during the winter months, it gets very cold... inside as people open the door to come in. I had to keep my coat on. Foodwise, the grilled dibi lamb has remained the best dishon the menu. I do not like that the servers are not consistent with serving the bread and mayonnaise. Service is minimal andquite slow. Review from 3 years ago (4 star rating): this is one of my favorite West African (Senegalese) restaurants in NYC.I love anything "grilled" on the menu. On my last visit, the nems were tasty and the shell perfectly crisp. The pastries aresinfully delicious. However, the shawarma was not good. The pita was too soft. Also, the burger beef patty was dry andtasteless. Just stick with the grilled dishes on the menu. I like the restaurant's ambiance. The owner and servers are verywelcoming. Read more

Solid halal restaurant. The food was alright in my opinion, but the portion sizes are excellent. Food took a while to come out,... but we had a large group (would?ve expected the appetizers to come out first tho). The Ali Baba Burger was pretty good. The LambDibi was fairly dry, even with the onion sauce. Looking back we would?ve tried something different. The hibiscus drink isinteresting. Staff were great. Read more
