Delight Wong is a gritty worn-in Chinatown restaurant—you can see the wear and tear in the walls but with age comes the... experience to make delicious comfort foods. the casual eatery serves a variety of rice, noodle, and roasted meat dishes. thereare plenty of tables and seats. the food is made in a small kitchen area in the front where you pay. come here for the steamedrice rolls which are made to order and are delicious. the steamed rice rolls are great savory snack when you need calories butdon’t want a full meal. recently got the roast pork rice rolls to go. you can see how the rice is made from the meat beingchopped to the everything going into a steaming drawer. the roast pork rice roll had chunks of roast pork plus herbs and saucewrapped in delicate soft and chewy thin rice noodle layers. it was a nice-sized portion. the pork tasted great and the ricenoodles were soft and chewy. $3.75 + tip per serving of rice rolls. the staff is typically a two-person show. once cooking andone dealing with the register. the service is quick and friendly. First of all it took only 10 minutes to get my food ready! Fantastic! And I really love their take out containers?? I mean you... feel good bringing food in those beauties home?? Their food is delicious and I really liked the shrimp dumplings and shrimpnoodles. We also got Buddhist delight and Fish with vegetables from the lunch menu. Both were really well made and healthy. I was here last night. Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner with a friend while watching Chinese New Year Celebration in the TV along... with other diners in the restaurant. This place is small , but great in terms of value for money and even better when it comesto service. In the recent times while visited other big names in Chinatown this hospitality was missing. Not only for nonvegeterian , for vegetarians too this place is amazing . Don't miss the Mapu Tofu here. They do charge for the rice and they addthe tops in the Chinese handwritten bill. Great Chinese Restaurant in the neighborhood that serves Rice's dishes and local dishes
Nice quiet out of the way spot serving up delicious meals! I had a dish of Beef Chow Fun, I was also served a complimentary... glass of Black tea and a bowl of light soup. All for $7 not bad by today's standards. The restaurant is plainly decoratednothing spectacular but once situated you'll feel at home. By the way, food is Cantonese style. Read more
This is a small restaurant that doesn't stand out on Grand street. I looked over the menu that was outside and the pricing for... dishes over rice was very fair. I decided to get beef with eggplants over rice. There was only one other person ahead of me. Igot my order in less than 3 minutes which was very fast and it was steaming hot and had a good amount of gravy to give theEggplants a nice glowing sheen. It came with a small cup of soup which was piping hot. You can see the steam come out once thelid came off. One of the better beef and eggplant dishes I have tried over the years.
