The place is so small but cozy and aesthetic. The food they serve were plated so nicely and it taste good. Coffee is always... amazing. The staff were kind and very polite. We took the bar area and sat, only few tables inside. We enjoyed our stay here! Read more

We came in the early afternoon on a cold Sunday, and the wait was over an hour long. I think we waited for about 1.5h for a... table for two? and the table was really like a ledge on the side of the restaurant. Curry and noodles were good but definitelyI don?t think it is worth the long wait unless you are already in the area and doing something else. The toasts were moreaesthetic than it tastes (to be expected). Read more

Came in to try the toast while in New York. Absolutely beautiful both to eat and to look at. Watching them make it was stunning.... Eating it was pretty great too. The black sesame was an acquired taste for me but I loved it. The berries and cream alsoawesome. Honey lemon is great. Cinnamon was weakest of the 4 but still good. Great coffee too. Read more

For times I stay in Lower East Sides, I always wanted to come to this cute cafe for two reasons: Japanese curry and toast... breakfast. When you visit, please pay attention to their menu with charming illustrations. Choosing from toasts with colorfuldesign is like trying out fun patterned shirt. My favorite was black sesame and cream cheese, but I would love to try MentaiMayo (spicy cod roe) next time. Read more

We had the chicken katsu curry to eat which was delicious, and the jam and cream cheese toast, also delightful. It's a very... small restaurant and we were luck to find a seat right away. I also had the yuzu lemonade matcha whisg was intriguing and tasty, even for someone like me who isn't a big matcha fan. It's totally worth going! Read more

I had a quick lunch at this place and it was amazing how chilled it felt. I almost felt that I was in a small coffee outside the... city and could stay there eating and reading a book the whole afternoon. It is a small place tho, so be mindful with the others. The food was absolutely delicious. I had a Bento Box with Japanese Style Fried Chicken and it came with a ginger sauce that itwas outstanding! I love that so much, will definitely come back! Read more

**long anecdotal review incoming** It's easy to walk by & miss it as it's so unassuming from the outside, but then you step in... and instantly feel like you're on an episode of Terrace House lol. Davelle is an aesthetic hole-in-the-wall Japanesecafe/restaurant in LES. I came here for the first time 4 years ago: I was on a first date for dinner, and we were seated at thefireplace mantle (yes, that was our table) Shockingly, the space was actually adequate for the plates we had! It ended up beingsuch a unique dining experience, I knew I had to come back. No matter what you order, it'll always hit that warm comfort foodspot. (Get the curry with karaage, trust me!) Service is always very friendly & attentive, portion sizes are just right, andflavor is just perfect. & if you're not hungry enough to have that, they have a variety of cute af toasts ???? that pairperfectly with the tea lattes????. Expect a wait on weekends as it's a small space & seats fill up quickly. They don't takeresys. Since reopening post-pandemic they reduced their hours & closed at 5pm daily, but it seems dinner service is backagain!! Read more
