I took my husband here to celebrate his birthday. The great service that is offered here started from the phone call I made for... reservations. The receptionist was very polite and patient. I received a text regarding the call and instructions for cancelingand general information about the restaurant. The day before, I received a text reminding me of my reservations and there wasalso an option to cancel. When we got to the restaurant, the staff was very warm and welcoming. Diego, one of our servers, wasgreat! He mentioned the more affordable option on the menu due to restaurant week. We took advantage of that! Since it was mylove's birthday day we got our pictures taken and place in a very touching card with well wishes for him and thank-yous to usfor choosing their restaurant to celebrate. Overall it was a great experience. We'll definitely go back; and I recommend thissteak house to everyone. Read more
As I was looking for a good steakhouse while visiting NYC, I stumbled upon Club A Steakhouse on Yelp and it piqued my interest... because of the numerous positive 4 to 5 star reviews everyone had. The photos looked great and it is well priced, so I had togive this place a try. Unfortunately, my experience here wasn't up to par with what I was expecting, in regards to the fooditself. The service however, was amazing. The Food: I ordered the 20 oz. Bone-In Prime Ribeye steak with a side of creamedspinach and french fries. The steak was ordered medium rare and upon my first cut, it was a little more towards medium side. Buthey it was the first cut, but as I get through my steak it just wasn't the amount of rare I was looking for. It was barely pinkon the inside which disappointed me. However, the overall flavor of the steak was great. No complaints there. The issue was moreof how the steak was cooked in terms of how well I wanted it done. As for the sides, the creamed spinach was a little bland, soI had to add a good mount of salt and pepper to add some flavor. French fries were good. The Service: The service was great! Iwas greeted immediately by the host and we were seated almost immediately after arriving. The wait staff was incredibly friendlyand professional as well and talked us through our menu. The staff were very attentive with check ups and water refills aswell. Overall. a 3/5 for being okay. The food was alright, not amazing but the staff made up for it with their service. Read more
This restaurant is AMAZING! We had a rehearsal dinner for 20 people on May 23 for my family and the grooms family. It was... perfect. The food was excellent, the staff was excellent, and the room was excellent. They have a private room in the winecellar and it was perfect for our group. The owner Bruno made sure everyone was happy. They even took a group photo andprinted it out for us to keep. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Read more
This is one of our favorite lunch spots! The burger with the duck fat fries are amazing and one of the best burgers in the... city. It is super juicy and flavorful and cooked perfectly. How could fries fried in duck fat be bad?? Highly recommend theroasted oysters, it is perfection. You can still taste the oysters, it's cooked but slightly raw and it has an amazing habernobutter on it. You will not want to share this!! Hot tip, go during restaurant week. They offer a lunch special only on weekdaysfor $39, you get an appetizer and an entree. Most entrees are $30-$35 so this is a super good deal! Read more
What a fabulous evening out on the upper east side of Manhattan! The service and experience dining at Bruno’s Club A... Steakhouse is fantastic and unique. Warmly greeted right upon entry and showed to our table each time, and they always make sureto add a special touch to our experience with outstanding service. The porterhouse steak for 2 is our favorite! Celebrated myhusband’s birthday here recently. Bruno and staff here make you feel like family. The ambiance is perfect. Amazing food, lightmusic and always a memorable experience. Bruno even took a beautiful photo of us he printed for a keepsake by the end of ourevening. Def come visit! Read more
We celebrated our friends' birthdays here. We reserved the private room downstairs in the wine cellar and our waiter was very... helpful with suggestions. The porterhouse was so good. The oysters, creamed spinach, everything was good. At the end they gaveus complimentary dessert and the owner even came down and gave the birthday people a card with a photo the waiter had takenearlier. Some of my friends said the bathroom on the second floor was too far but I didn't mind. It was also very quiet downthere so we asked for music which they turned on. Too bad we couldn't hear the live music but it was overall a nice evening. Read more
Amazing! In every sense of the word. On our second trip to NYC, we wanted to get that quintessential New York City steakhouse... experience and Club A Steakhouse exceeded our expectations. The food is absolutely delicious, the ambience is absolutelyfantastic, and the service is absolutely excellent! We were seated by the owner and unsuspectingly found out later that night,the humbleness of being in the midst of all the action and gathering first person insight means that this steakhouse is treatedwith care. I enjoyed this steakhouse very much. As you enter the restaurant you get a really cool old school steakhouse vibe. Feel like old... New York inside. I love it. The hostess was super the nice and our waiter and staff was the best. They were very attentive andtreated us amazing. We felt like family. The owner was going around ensuring that everyone was enjoying there meal and he wasvery personable and entertaining. The food, we order the porterhouse for 3 was simply amazing. Super delicious cooked perfectmedium and very juicy. We ordered Creamed spinach fries and Mac n Cheese; all 3 were delicious. I definitely recommend thisrestaurant if your looking for a great steak with super vintage authentic NYC vibes. Cheers! Read more
