Place has a good reputation and good food, staff is attentive and very nice, however the spot downtown is a bit small and... crowded, felt like the staff was rushing into taking the plates, replace the maps on the table and get the check really quickly,we noticed it happening in other tables next to us. Not the best experience for the price you pay. Thank you guys at CiprianiDowntown ???????? Read more

Was here for lunch. Ordered stewed rabbit and artichoke salad, which turned out OK. Was expecting more. Maybe the pasta is... better. Read more

Our reviews had over 14 million views in the first 7 months of 2022. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We... really love Cipriani Downtown. Updated 8-5-2022. Perfect again. Loved the pasta with just tomato sauce and the vanilla cakewith homemade ice cream. Met the big boss there and he told us about how picky he is about everything in the joint. A real joyto speak to someone so passionate about food and service. UPDATED 11-1-2021 ONCE AGAIN ONE OF THE BEST MEALS EVER. LOVE THE CAKEAND LOVE THE PASTA. WOW One of the best Italian meals we have ever had. Everything was great. She had the Gnocchi homemadeand I had the pasta with veal ragu red sauce. Both were among the best ever. Broccoli soup was wonderful. Menu changes daily. For dessert we had the coconut cake with homemade ice cream. We also had the crepe flamed tableside. OMG both desserts wereawesome. One of the best set of desserts ever. Check out all of our reviews. If we do not like it we do no review it so allof the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. Old school classic modern Italian place. The place is really top notch in terms of the atmosphere, people, drinks and food.... This place is really classy and busy all the time, so reservation is highly recommended. We had absolutely fenomenal beef andtuna tartare as well as beef carpaccio and poached sea bass. Their chocolate cake is also one of the best I have ever tried. Wewere also recommended vanilla merengue cake as best seller, but I would suggest to go for lemon merengue pie as vanilla one, although very light and tasty is too plain to my taste. If you are driving exotic car, they will park it right in front of therestaurant. The place is not cheap 3 appetizers, 1 main course and 2 drinks, 2 coffee and 2 dessert was cost $270 without tips, but it was well worth experience Read more

Always a local go to spot with friends, or clients. It’s definitely a sceney spot for New York City, however, I truly enjoy... the food every time! My absolute favorite is the meringue cake but was recently told to try the vanilla gelato and oh my goshit’s out of this world! Read more

The best Italian food we’ve eaten all year, and we are Italian chefs ourselves! Wow! Our close buddy Josh, recommended this... spot to us as my pre-marathon meal the might before running NYC. What a PHENOMENAL choice! We got the veal Milanese which washeaven, the pasta bolognese which was heaven, the branzino spaghetti which was amazing, this other amazing dish I can’tpronounce haha, amd the bread basket was also amazing! The quality and taste of the food was better than I was anticipating.Truly delicious and better food than many places in actual Italy even. A bit crowded and jammed inside, more crowded than yourtypical NYC crowded restaurant, possibly the most crowded NYC restaurant ever lol, but worth it for the food! Will absolutely becoming back! This is obviously a NY staple, however the food was meh. It could be because we were just not used to the authenticity of the... flavors but I wasn’t too impressed. It is also pretty expensive, the majority of our high tab was drinks.. which were justokay. I didn’t get a good picture of the rigatoni but it was definitely the better dish over the lasagna. We also had 2desserts, the crepes and chocolate cake. We were not aware of the liquor in the crepes, it was super strong so we didn’t eatthem.. although our expectations weren’t fully met I think this is a must try when coming to NY. Read more

It’s certainly a scene and you pay for it. The wall art is captivating and chic, and it’s a classic upscale SoHo vibe. The... food and drinks are good, not great. Prices are marked up 2-2.5x for the ambiance and atmosphere. Went on a Tuesday and saw 70year old sugar daddy’s out with their 20 year old model “girlfriends”. A lot of eye candy — can't forget you're out inSoHo — but therein lies the restaurants "value". So I can’t recommend the restaurant at its prices, but for the crowdfrequenting here, it seems overspending is the goal, not a problem. And if you are being treated the food is quite yummy. Read more
