If you ever want a gourmet poke bowl experience, here is the place to get it! This stuff here is seriously good and seriously... high quality. You pay a premium over a typical poke bowl place but I think it's worth every penny if you decide you want tosplurge a little! If you don't know what to get I would recommend the Chikarashi flight; gives you a small tasting menu ofthree of their bowls. Read more

I ordered the Roasted Black Cod. The fish was fresh tasting, had a slight caramelized char on top from roasting, was perfectly... cooked and fell apart as I dug in. The cod had a slight sweet taste and balance of savory flavor which was enjoyable. The dishwas well presented and they played jazz on the space. Overall it was a great experience Read more

Incredible place with amazing food. We stumbled in looking for a place to eat and our expectations were exceeded significantly.... The flavors were all expertly put together and the fish is wonderfully fresh. The sign in the shop says that fresh fish areshipped there daily and broken down in house. I believe it, since the preparation was beautifully done and the taste is perhapsthe best I've ever had. Read more

I liked the food very much ! I was actually very surprised and was not expecting such a gourmet meal (look at the picture).... Fresh and delicious ! The space is not very big but has tables and chairs along the way. It was not crowded and right on CanalStreet. They have ice creams and specials? I want to go back for their watermelon sorbet. Now, I was not fully convinced by theservice. I don?t want to go to much into details, I just hope it was because the lady who took my order was having a bad day(which happens) but she was almost rude? Curt. Read more

finally made it to Chikarashi...for the Dole Whip! located inconspicuously on Canal Street. its interior is very clean and... nicely lit. there's seating along the sides of Chikarashi. primarily, known for its Hawaiian poké bowls?also is the closestplace to me serving Dole Whip which is a Godsend during the warmer sweatier months of NYC. anyway stopped in for some DoleWhip, which a refreshing pineapple-flavored soft serve dessert that is dairy-free. tastes smooth sweet (but not overly sugary)?it?s basically a cross between soft serve and sorbet. Dole Whip is a pleasant respite from the sweatier days. though Dole Whiptastes best in Disney World, iyktyk staff is pretty curt Read more

loved this take out fish rice bowl restaurant since day 1 they opened. I ordered Cod on brown rice. The cod was marinated so... well and delicious. Like the vegetable and seasweed. Four star, if they got my order right, brown rice! not white rice. edit:thank you for your clarification on the rice choice, it could be better if that was told at the cashier. staff mis-communicationcaused disappointment. I have been hearing a lot of mixed reviews for this place and decided to get a quick bite today. Needless to say, my experience... was definitely less than ideal. I got the negi Toro with add on ikura ($10 extra), which I think is definitely overpriced forits quantity and quality. As you see in the picture, the avocado is quite old, and it had a tad of bitterness. Toro wasunderseasoned and rice was way too overcooked/sticky... For a total of $41, it certainly isn't worth it and I don't think Iwill be visiting again. Read more

This spot may be pricier than most but I personally enjoyed it more than other poke bowls. Everything was fresh. I got the... Sichuan chili salmon and I'd get it again for sure. Read more
