I ordered the Roasted Black Cod. The fish was fresh tasting, had a slight caramelized char on top from roasting, was perfectly... cooked and fell apart as I dug in. Incredible place with amazing food. We stumbled in looking for a place to eat and our expectations were exceeded significantly.... The flavors were all expertly put together and the fish is wonderfully fresh. The sign in the shop says that fresh fish areshipped there daily and broken down in house. I liked the food very much ! I was actually very surprised and was not expecting such a gourmet meal (look at the picture).... Fresh and delicious ! The space is not very big but has tables and chairs along the way. It was not crowded and right on CanalStreet. They have ice creams and specials? I want to go back for their watermelon sorbet. finally made it to Chikarashi...for the Dole Whip! located inconspicuously on Canal Street. its interior is very clean and... nicely lit. there's seating along the sides of Chikarashi. primarily, known for its Hawaiian poké bowls?also is the closestplace to me serving Dole Whip which is a Godsend during the warmer sweatier months of NYC. anyway stopped in for some DoleWhip, which a refreshing pineapple-flavored soft serve dessert that is dairy-free. tastes smooth sweet (but not overly sugary)?it?s basically a cross between soft serve and sorbet.
