Came here for dinner on a Thursday night around 8pm. We didn’t have a reservation and were able to get a table, they looked... like they were at almost full capacity, so we got lucky. The food was great! We got the bread with egg in the middle that theymixed in front of us at the table and we shared some of the other small plates. Giving the restaurant 4 stars because the waiternever checked on us and didn’t refill our water bottle. Read more

Nice restaurant with a good selection of Georgian drinks and food. I would not consider this place a romantic place. Good thing... it is quiet and not too crowded inside. The restaurant has three dining areas, so make sure you choose the right one. One roomis outside, covered, and has a heater in wintertime. There are a lot of good vegetarian selections. After we ordered the food,we got drinks and appetizers right away, but it took 45 minutes for the main course. Please notice that portions are small. I'ma vegetarian, and after having an appetizer, salad, soup, and the main course, I still felt hungry. My main course andappetizers were a little bit salty. The desserts are delicious, and they are decent in size. Read more

An amazing experience at a lovely place! The food is good, we were there for brunch and had the traditional khachapuri (forgot... to take a pic) to start. Also the fresh mint tea is really nice. They were super friendly and gladly gave us recommendations. The place has a garden which I imagine is nice in good weather and the interiors are cozy and eclectic. Read more

Loveeeee this place. It’s hard to find authentic Georgian food in Manhattan and Chama Mama has it NAILED. The space is super... cute, service is great, the portions are large/expected for the price, and the flavors are great. It’s popular even on aMonday night and I feel like that says such good things. I would highly recommend coming by. Update: I came back for brunch atthe portions are smaller but an appropriate brunch amount. I really liked the dishes I got this time around. Read more

Wow! Pleasantly surprised with this hidden gem! Wonderful service showcasing Georgian cuisine. The interior is decorated nicely... and the patio out back is inviting and great for groups. You must order the Adjaruli Khachapuri! It's a show in itself as theytake the egg yolk and immerse it into the cheese blend. So luscious and divine!! Would come back just for this! I got theGeorgian Burger as well. It was on the dry side, but filling! I wish there was a sauce on the side, but nonetheless stillenjoyed it. Read more

This place was absolutely amazing! First time trying Georgian food. Great breads and an amazing selection of vegetarian food.... Getting a reservation here is difficult so either plan in ahead or maybe go during non peak hours. Read more

I have somewhat high standards for Georgian food, given my mom is Georgian and she is an awesome cook. Chama Mama never... disappoints. If you wanna have a taste and an idea of what Georgian food is like - bean pie, cheese pie, meat pie, walnut stewwith chicken, beef and pork dumplings are all a must. The cuisine is all about rich flavors and spices and they do deliver greatflavors in dishes they serve. Great place. Read more
