Lovely French-Maroccan restaurant two blocks from the New Museum. Beautiful decor and great service. The salmon I had and the... smoked trout bowl my daughter had were delicious. Reasonable prices too. Read more

Came in for lunch on a lonely day off, was greeted with warm welcome by gentleman who was the host, immediately feeling like I... was among friends. The waitress (beautiful) with the golden earrings promptly started fun conversation as she got my order. Thefood was fast and delicious. In the day there is a calm warmth that permeates the cafe. You feel cool, you feel comfortable. You think about coming back as soon as you sit down. Read more

My favorite neighborhood spot of all time. The food is consistently tasty, healthy, wholesome, and well priced. The wait staff... are all lovely people that get to know the neighborhood. We went to Gitane in Brooklyn for the first time and the vibe wasconsistent across locations. Much love for Gitane. Read more

This is a hidden gem. Still as good as ever. This by far is the best cafe in the lower Manhattan zone. If you wish to be carried... away and let your imagination guide you. You could be in Paris. This is as authentic as I gets.Highly recommended.???? Read more

Had walked by this place a couple times before finally going in on a VERY busy Sat afternoon (everywhere, not just here). Once... we were seated, it took 30 minutes to even put an order in. Even though people outside were getting theirs in quicker. Guessbeing in the corner means you are forgotten. When we finally did put in our order, they didnt have any more Green Tea, and nomore Trout bowl, so my wife went for Avo Toast ("it was good"), and I went for a Capp and Mixed Greens bowl w Chicken. Mine wasdecent, chicken nice and tender. Not sure Endive really jives tho... All in all, seemed very upscale and pretentious for, wellno reason...it doesnt deserve it imo. Mayyybe ill come back at a less busy time to try again, but probs not. Too many otherspots that have the same menu but, yknow, better. Read more

The classic brunch spot that introduced me to avocado toast! I have attempted to replicate the toast on my own, but it is a... standout in how they make the avocado. I?ve been going to this place as a visitor and now as a permanent resident. It?s locatedin a picturesque area in Nolita. After brunching here, you can roam around the area & people watch at the Elizabeth garden. Mygo to dish is avocado toast & the cous cous with the side of sausage. The cous cous can be shared with your dining partner.Today my dining partner suggested to share the blossom waffle and oh my, delicious! The meatballs is another shareable dish thatis outstanding. I normally order a mocha latte & get excited for the paw art. This time around, none. I was a bit disappointedto not have the paw art & the chocolate that accompanies it; but I still enjoyed the meal regardless. Read more
