This place is GARBAGE. I would give 0 stars if able. You can see from other reviews this place is a dump not worth looking at.... I?m a social planner for a group of 60 people and we tried this location TWICE just to be sure and both times it was disgusting.Drinks were overpriced and watered down. But the worst was the staff. The manager was extremely rude and kept telling our groupof quiet, respectful patrons to move to different locations for unclear reasons. The ?bouncers? hang out outside with theirfriends berating potential patrons. Stay FAR away from this place. There?s no view from the rooftop, go ANYWHERE else for a goodtime in the city. Lovely place. Roof top is a surprise and very nice. The bar itself is quite big so lots of space to move around. Loved the... service. We did not order too much food but whatever we got was standard as expected. Read more
I liked everything about this place but people need to stop praising the food. Its regular bar food that tasted like McDonald's.... The buffalo sauce tastes like chemicals but I dont blame brass monkey because thats how they buy it. I had cooks who know howto fix the sauce and make it their own with a few simple ingredients already found in every kitchen. Anyways everything else isgreat. The food is definitely good if youre five margaritas deep or havent ate in more than 16hrs. I had the cheeseburger and itwas cheesy and fresh. Lettuce and tomato would of put it in another level. Anyways yea just regular bar food. Im pretty surethis bar is only known for their atmosphere and drinks not their food so consider this a five star review. I just dont likethat I was mislead from other reviews bout the food but thats not brass monkeys fault so im shining the light on a true unbiasedopinion. Their drinks, she had two watermelon slushies and I dont think they were strong or balanced instead were light butthat's expected from bars in this area. A slushy and a shot would do the trick to make this 15$ drink worth it but then it wouldprobably turn into a 23$ drink The brass monkey light beer is really good. I really liked that beer. If you like modelo, coronaor budlight you will like this beer alot and Im certainly coming back for it. I didnt stay long enough for the dj but being abig bar with a strong reputation I didnt expect them to be on a budget for djs. Covid did hurt many businesses so thats awhatever point, I just noticed that but thats just me. I also noticed that long time employees havent moved up. Theres a guywith 7+ yrs doing the samething on the floor which makes me wonder if the mgmt is biased, I just feel bad for them. AnywaysBrass monkey will be a good option to impress anyone from out of town, other nyers will understand my review after coming here. Read more
This multistory bar right along the Hudson River even has a rooftop you can visit while you drink. I arrived around 9pm and... found a good spot to hang out. As the night went on, it quickly grew more crowded and it was more difficult to find space. Theviews admittedly aren't great, with an empty lot next door. Also, there is an apartment building on the northern side withpeople watching from the windows. Generally not terrible but just a bit disappointing. Read more

The staff here are amazing. All super friendly and attentive. There are 3 stories (including a rooftop) and you can go between... them. No bar on the rooftop so you have to go downstairs - Amelia was friendly and fast. The drinks were very reasonably pricedand strong. It was extremely crowded when we went but because it?s such a big place I don?t think you have to wait in line forvery long. There wasn?t a cover when we got in. The music was not memorable and could be improved if they had a DJ on the roof.Also it?s a very young crowd and there were some fratty, rude groups of guys in there. You find that at most bars here but be ifyou don?t like that I would go elsewhere. Overall a super fun night and we will definitely be back! Read more
You recommend this place for your friend's birthday, bring over 20 people in to spend tons on drinks and food but the venue is... too cheap and charges you a $25 fee so you can get in with a tiny cheesecake, a gift that would not even be opened inside thebar. Incredibly poor customer experience and short sighted vision. I'll certainly stop recommending this place for folks at thework - better just go somewhere else with better customer service. Read more
