For the past 2 weeks, we have continued to rave about the experience we had at Blue Fin on Saturday, November 19. We ordered... quite a bit of food - oysters from the raw bar, soups, poke tacos, and obviously mains, sides, and desserts. Not only was thefood top-quality and beautifully presented, but the service team was firing on all cynlinders. We had a beautiful tablecentrally located to see all the action, yet we never felt crowded or in the way. The service team was eagle eyed, removingplates within moments of us finishing with them. The drinks were kept filled, the courses moved effortlessly from one to thenext. In particular, Skye (our primary server) was attentive, charasmatic, and ensured we were happy with everything. She alsokept an eye on the time for us, as she knew we had an 8:00 Hamilton show to attend. The Manager, Laura, also stopped by toensure we were happy...but we were delighted. You might think Blue Fin would be a "tourist" restaurnt given its location onTimes Square, but it was truly top notch dining. Those desserts certainly didn't disappoint, either! I recommend the cremebrulee...if you want literally 12 inches of dessert. Read more

Wonderful service! Surf and turf plate was stellar! Salted caramel dessert was TO DIE FOR!! Worth breaking my diet! It's like an... oversized recess cup but with caramel and flaked sea salt on top! Divine! Prices are not bad for the location. A great place togo to for couples or friends after a nice day watching a broadway production. Seating could be reconfigured better as we had toshift the tables to get to our seat. Aside from this, very good establishment. Read more

The food was great. Our waiter was very friendly and polite, but it took so long for us to get our food that we were only able... to have the appetizer and had to take the entree and dessert to go, in order to make it to our Broadway show on time. Thishappened during g restaurant week. When we got to the theater they would not allow us to enter with our food, so it was a totalwaste. Read more

The ambiance is great. Not too loud. The food is fresh and tasty. I have severe food allergies and when my husband called to... make a reservation he was asked if either of us had a food allergy. He said yes my wife. When we got there again we reiteratedthat I had a severe nut/seed allergy. Throughout the meal the waitress would tell us if something had nuts and even had amazinggluten free bread. We had oysters which were so fresh. We also had the Mediterranean salad which was fresh and not over dressed. My husband got the sesame crusted tuna and he said it was anazing. I had the salmon and the skin was crispy and cooked toperfection. I would highly recommend this place and hope to be back soon. Read more

The food was hit and miss. For the cost it was alright. The portion sizes, at least for me, were a little small. I had the... scallops and short rib ravioli. Surf and turf. The scallops were fantastic. The short rib ravioli was bitter. My wife had thechicken and part of it, wrapped in bacon, was amazing, and part of it was dry. So, mixed review even on each plate. Not a goodsign when we were wondering, during dinner, if we would’ve been better off going to the Olive Garden across the street. ???? Read more

Blue fin had a nice relaxed atmosphere. Food was fair. I enjoyed the chopped salad and the lobster, even though I had to ask for... the drawn butter to go with it. Maybe they don't eat it like that here in NY.(??) The service was a bit slow, although they didacknowledge my birthday. I would recommend it, but there may be better choices for seafood in the area. Came here for restaurant week and had the usual experience. If you do these enough you're either enticed and want to come back... to try more or are happy that you tried it once. After this meal I want to come back for the full menu. For appetizers I hadthe sushi option while my wife had the mushroom bisque option. While my sushi was good and had an interesting teost to it, thebisque was very good. For entrees I had the hangar steak which was just ok but my wife's salmon was very good. I should haveknown since it was a seafood place. Dessert was the chocolate option for the wife and the lemon option for myself. Of the two Ienjoyed the lemon option a lot more as did my wife. But being there and enjoying our food I couldn't help but notice the fullmenu options and people's reactions. Will definitely go back to try different dishes. Service was great as well Read more
