Food had a freezer taste, and I almost threw up my food after a huge rat ran under my feet. And customer service had very bad... attitude the whole time. Never again coming back!! Read more

Charged me $14 for a ?gourmet omelette? which we did not order. We just asked for two eggs and a piece of toast. Also the $13... yogurt was not good. A big bowl of plain watery yogurt with a few pieces of fruit on top. Highlight was the fruit was good. Iwill never go here again. Read more

I am so happy that Bin 141 is in my neighborhood. The dishes I've had are delicious and so fresh. I usually order fish or... seafood and have not been let down. Sometimes I'll have a glass of wine, can't finish a whole bottle, and I'm always pleasedwith the offerings. I enjoy bringing my friends here cause it's close by. Their menu changes regularly so there's alwayssomething new to try. The chef's wife makes the best dessert, IMHO, and it is something I look forward to. She makes vegan andgluten free as well. Best food in the East Village/Alphabet City.... Talk about Bang for your Buck... Excellent preparation... Fresh, Smart sourced... ingredient, speedy delivery and very thoughtful wine selections for dine in. All of this at a reasonable price. I typically gofor the specials, the seafood or lamb but I have brought many friends who have gone through the menu and I only hear praise onburgers, pasta dishes, large salads, you can't go wrong. As a disclaimer: this is my first time ever leaving a review for a restaurant. I have never felt compelled to leave a negative... review for any business because I don't believe in needlessly negatively affecting a business' reputation, but Bin 141 really isquite the exception. For NYU Restaurant Week (restaurants around NYC sign up to give promotional discounts to NYU students), agroup of friends and I came to this restaurant. As soon as we walked in, the host and *owner* was clearly upset at us for somereason -- perhaps the fact we were all Asian upset him? We still do not know why he was so blatantly and obviously annoyed at usspecifically. We were simply waved off to an empty table and not given menus, water, or bread -- which was provided to everyother party, including other parties of students. Without having provided us menus, the owner came up to us and flatly asked"what do you want" and we had to order by looking online for dish options. The pastas took extremely long to arrive, and clearlynot because the chef was taking extra time to serve high quality, top caliber food (refer to the attached image, you could notmake this up.) The pasta was under cooked, under seasoned, and the mozzarella had not even begun to melt. Because the pastacame so late, my friend was unable to finish hers because she was in a rush to get to class. She approached the owner, who wasone of the only employees working, and asked if she could get it to go. He rudely said "I told you we don't do to-go," and whenmy friend explained she had not had a chance to eat because the food was delayed, he snatched the dish out of her hand andflippantly said "then don't pay for it." As a *warm* send-off, the owner said to us, "you are the reason why I will never dostudent discounts again." As if this promotional deal was not something he had quite consciously chosen to sign up for as astrategy to increase foot traffic and revenue for his business (NYU has 50,000+ hungry and budget-con Read more
