This is our 9th or 10th Ethiopian restaurant in NYC and it?s definitely worth coming back! We love Ethiopian food! The injera... was perfect, the Gomen was delicious! And the Doro wat was so yummy. Loved the hot tea (cardamom, cinnamon and clove) Therestaurant is so cute and welcoming. Great art (loved the Amharic alphabet on the wall) Very clean restroom, and nice andattentive customer service. Can?t wait to be back :) Read more

Here in New York, I finally found a good Ethiopian restaurant, located in my old childhood neighborhood up in Harlem where I... relived my childhood memories. When I lived in Oakland, the large Ethiopian & Eritrean community spoiled me when it came tomeeting my tastes. I ate a lamb tebsi with lentils and collard greens along with a glass of tej (honey wine) and almost gotemotional when I took my first bite, it was so good. Shooot, I'll be back. Read more

I never post reviews, but I had to do in this case because it was so good. I used to get the injera firfir at a place in... California when I used to live there, and I have missed that dish so much since moving here. When I saw that Benyam had it, Irushed over to order it and was not disappointed. I got it with a side of a side of the ayib (cottage cheese), which was yummy. The service was great and the prices were very reasonable. I will definitely be back. Read more

Among many other Ethiopian restaurants in the city, this one is more for delicious food rather in a low key environment. Wait... staff is very nice at making recommendations. For three of us, we added a lamb dish to a combo for two. I guess it almostincluded everything on the menu as we got to try 9 different dishes. A real great experience of eating good food ???? And makedrink lots of Ethiopian beer ???? with your meal! Thanks team Benyam Read more
