Extraordinary!! Nestled in the Evelyn Hotel, this luxurious space highlights an art deco chandelier suspended under a large... glass skylight. The staff glides effortlessly across the mosaic-tiled floor, tending to guests every whim and fancy. The menuexplores the area where Italy and France meet, along the border regions of Liguria and Provence, by way off a five-course meals.Chef Jonathan Benno’s skill truly shines when he puts his practiced hands to perfect house-made pastas tossed in luxeingredients, like garganelli verdi or risotto studded with meaty oyster mushrooms and Piave Vecchio. Seafood is particularlywell-executed here, as in the Monkfish with sunchoke, black trumpet, and red wine reduction, or the Peking duck sautéed foiegrass and spice duck jus. Not sure why this place is not more recognized. Very very well-executed French/Italian food. Beautiful space. Great hospitality.

Small portions but extremely tasty. Customer service is awesome. Paid attention to details. Make reservations ahead of time.... Seated at the bar but the service was no any different from the reserved tables. Absolutely worth it! Highly recommended A+++ Read more
We have been to Benno on many occasions and it’s time to finally share this gem. There is an attention to detail you expect... in a Michelin star restaurant in nyc and that is exactly what you get. The French cuisine is classic and creative at the sametime. The service is excellent- warm and relaxed rather than overbearing. If you are looking for French fine dining in NOMAD,Benno can’t be beat. Benno was on my list of restaurants to visit for quite some time and finally got around to it last evening with my... sisters….what a fabulous dining experience. Everything from the decor to the service was exquisite. Every dish we had wassuperb! Our server, Joe, knew the menu very well and offered great insight and recommendations on our dishes (the veal wasamazing and the crab fondue was memorable) . Tobias was also a gentleman!
